Eligible Public Entity definition

Eligible Public Entity means each of the non-State public entities authorized to purchase the Deliverables and Services offered hereunder. “Eligible Public Entity” includes the county, city, city and county, district, public authority, public agency, municipal corporation, or any other political subdivision or public corporation in the State. “Eligible Public Entity” also includes a federally-recognized tribal entity acting in its tribal governmental capacity.
Eligible Public Entity means each of the California public entities authorized to purchase the Deliverables and services offered hereunder which will be documented at the time of contract execution, and which the parties agree may be amended as needed from time to time. Eligible Public Entities shall be the “Customers” of the Contractor under applicable service agreements. “Eligible Public Entity” includes the State, county, city, city and county, district, public authority, public agency, municipal corporation, or any other political subdivision or public corporation in the state, “Eligible Public Entity” also includes a federally-recognized tribal entity acting in its tribal governmental capacity.

Examples of Eligible Public Entity in a sentence

  • No vote of the Governing Board shall be required to admit an Eligible Public Entity.

  • If the State of Eligible Public Entity receives a California Public Records Act request for the audit report, the State and Eligible Public Entity shall provide the Service Provider reasonable written notice to permit the Service Provider to enable the Service Provider to take steps to prevent the disclosure of such information to the maximum extent permitted by law, including exemption from disclosures pursuant to §6254 (aa) and (ab) and Stats 2005 ch 476 Section 2.

  • Any Eligible Public Entity (as defined in the Contract) may use the Service Offerings under its own AWS Enterprise Account(s) under the terms of this Agreement and the Contract.

  • If a request for the contents of, or other information relating to, this Contract is made under the California Public Records Act, the State or relevant Eligible Public Entity will provide the Contractor with reasonable written notice to permit the Contractor to prevent the disclosure of such information to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law.

  • Storage of State Data at rest shall be located solely in data centers selected by the Eligible Public Entity which shall be located in the continental United States.

  • Eligible public entities whose names are set forth on Exhibit C to this Fourth Amended and Restated Agreement (“Eligible Public Entities”) shall be admitted to the Council by 1) adopting this Fourth Amended and Restated Agreement by a majority vote of the legislative body of the Eligible Public Entity and 2) properly signing this Fourth Amended and Restated Agreement.

  • The Service Provider shall provide its services to the State and its end users solely from data centers selected by the Eligible Public Entity which shall be located in the continental United States.

  • The Service Provider shall not access, move, use, or disclose Eligible Public Entity accounts or State Data, except as set forth in the Service Agreement.

  • The report will help the Eligible Public Entity perform security analysis, resource change tracking, and compliance auditing.

  • Unless otherwise prohibited by law or relevant court or governmental order, the Service Provider shall contact the State or relevant Eligible Public Entity within a reasonable time before disclosing State Data in response to any electronic discovery, litigation holds, discovery searches and expert testimonies directed at the Service Provider requesting that the Service Provider disclose State Data under this Contract.

  • Public entity means this State, a political subdivision of this STATE or an agency, board, commission or department of this state or a political subdivision of this state.

  • Responsible public entity means a public entity that has the power to develop or operate the applicable qualifying project.

  • Participating public employer means a public employer as defined in ORS 238.005 that

  • Public employee means an individual holding a position by appointment or employment in the government of this state, in the government of 1 or more of the political subdivisions of this state, in the public school service, in a public or special district, in the service of an authority, commission, or board, or in any other branch of the public service, subject to the following exceptions:

  • Eligible pupil means a pupil who has been expelled from school under the mandatory expulsion provisions in section 1311 or 1311a of the revised school code, MCL 380.1311 and 380.1311a, a pupil who has been suspended or expelled from school under a local policy, a pupil who is referred by a court, a pupil who is pregnant or is a parent, a pupil who was previously a dropout, or a pupil who is determined by the district to be at risk of dropping out.

  • Eligible Purchaser means a corporation, partnership or other entity which we have reasonable grounds to believe and do believe can make representations with respect to itself to substantially the same effect as the representations set forth herein.

  • Qualified business means a for-profit business that obtains services relating to that business from 30 or fewer employees or employees of independent contractors performing services substantially similar to employees during a random week in the year ending on the tax day. If a person is a unified business group as that term is defined in section 117 of the Michigan business tax act, 2007 PA 36, MCL 208.1117, the number of employees from whom services are obtained includes all employees of the unitary business group and employees of independent contractors of the unitary business group rendering services to the qualified business.

  • Free appropriate public education means special education and related services that are provided at public expense and under public supervision and direction, and without charge, meet the standards of the Department of Public Instruction, include an appropriate preschool, elementary or secondary school education; and are provided in conformity with an IEP.

  • Public employer means the State of Oregon, and the following political subdivisions:

  • Material Non-Public Information means information relating to Counterparty or the Shares that (a) has not been widely disseminated by wire service, in one or more newspapers of general circulation, by communication from Counterparty to its shareholders or in a press release, or contained in a public filing made by Counterparty with the Securities and Exchange Commission and (b) a reasonable investor might consider to be of importance in making an investment decision to buy, sell or hold Shares. For the avoidance of doubt and solely by way of illustration, information should be presumed “material” if it relates to such matters as dividend increases or decreases, earnings estimates, changes in previously released earnings estimates, significant expansion or curtailment of operations, a significant increase or decline of orders, significant merger or acquisition proposals or agreements, significant new products or discoveries, extraordinary borrowing, major litigation, liquidity problems, extraordinary management developments, purchase or sale of substantial assets and similar matters.

  • Management Company Employee means an individual employed by a Person providing management services to the Company which are required for the ongoing successful operation of the business enterprise of the Company, but excluding a Person engaged in Investor Relations Activities;

  • Taxable Public Property means all Assessor’s Parcels of Public Property that are not exempt pursuant to Section E below.

  • Public vessel ’ means a vessel owned or bareboat-chartered and operated by the United States, or by a State or political subdivision thereof, or by a foreign nation, except when such vessel is engaged in commerce;

  • Public Key means the key of a Key Pair that may be publicly disclosed by the holder of the corresponding Private Key and that is used by a Relying Party to verify digital signatures created with the holder's corresponding Private Key and/or to encrypt messages so that they can be decrypted only with the holder's corresponding Private Key.

  • Qualifying Public Offering means a firm commitment underwritten public offering of Stock for cash where the shares of Stock registered under the Securities Act are listed on a national securities exchange.

  • Public-private partnership means an arrangement or agreement, occurring on or after January 1, 2017, between a procurement unit and one or more contractors to provide for a public need through the development or operation of a project in which the contractor or

  • parent mixed financial holding company in a Member State means a mixed financial holding company which is not itself a subsidiary of an institution authorised in the same Member State, or of a financial holding company or mixed financial holding company set up in that same Member State;

  • Public corporation means a county, city, village, township, port district, drainage district, special assessment district, or metropolitan district of this state, or a board, commission, or another authority or agency created by or under an act of the legislature of this state.

  • State Public Information Officer means the State Public Information Officer designated under sub-section (1) and includes a State Assistant Public Information Officer designated as such under sub-section (2) of section 5;

  • Public Art means art that shall be accessible to the public, and includes all forms of original creations of visual art, conceived in any medium, material, or combination thereof, including paintings, drawings, stained glass, and murals in any media; statues, bas relief, mobile, kinetic, electronic, neon, or other sculptures; environmental artworks; fountains, arches or other structures intended for ornament; integrated and functional architectural elements of a structure; video and other media-based works; inscriptions, fiber works, carvings, mosaics, photographs, drawings, collages, textile works and prints; crafts, both decorative and utilitarian in clay, fiber, wood, metal, glass, stone, plastic and other materials; artist-designed public spaces and functional elements which are either a part of a larger project or a separate entity in and of itself.
