Emergency Department trained Paramedics (EMT-P) to support treatment in a hospital emergency department (ED), ambulance emergency response, in-flight emergency response, non-in-flight emergency response, transfer and transport services for active duty military personnel, their dependents, retirees, their dependents and other eligible beneficiaries, in accordance with the terms and conditions of this agreement.
If you are registered for observation, your cost- sharing will be considered “Other Services.” If you are not admitted to the Hospital, you may incur Emergency Department cost-sharing in addition to the cost-sharing associated with observation status.
You do not need Prior Approval for Emergency Department or 9-1-1 Ambulance Medical Emergency services.
These success metrics may include, but are not limited to: increase in attendance rates, decrease in school violence, increase in academic achievement, increase in parental participation, increase in college or career readiness, increase satisfaction and reduction of stress for teachers, reduction in obesity rate of children, and measurement of targeted disease outcomes with concurrent reductions in unnecessary Emergency Department and Inpatient hospital stays.
No Prior Approval is required for Emergency Care delivered in an Emergency Department or 9-1-1 ambulance transport.
