Emergency Services and/or Care definition

Emergency Services and/or Care means lawfully provided medical screening, examination, 21 and evaluation of a patient in a Hospital by a Physician to determine if an Emergency Medical 22 Condition or Active Labor exists, and if it does, the care, treatment and surgery by a Physician necessary 23 to relieve or eliminate the Emergency Medical Condition or Active Labor (Health and Safety Code 24 Section 1371.1); provided, however, such treatment shall be within the capabilities required of the 25 Hospital as a condition of its emergency medical services permit, on file with the Office of Statewide 26 Health Planning and Development.
Emergency Services and/or Care means lawfully provided medical screening, examination, 14 and evaluation by a physician, or other physician-supervised personnel in a hospital to determine if an 15 emergency medical condition exists, and includes treatment necessary to relieve the condition; provided, 16 however, such treatment shall be within the capabilities required of HOSPITAL as a condition of its 17 emergency medical services permit, on file with the Office of Statewide Health Planning and 18 Development.

Examples of Emergency Services and/or Care in a sentence

  • Physicians shall provide Emergency Services and/or Care to all persons presenting for 20 emergency treatment.

  • As a condition of reimbursement of Claims for Emergency Services and/or Care 21 provided by Physicians, Physicians shall comply with the Agreement and the terms of their enrollment 22 and the EMSF Program Rules, as they may be amended.

  • For Emergency Services and/or Care provided within the first twenty-four (24)-hours 11 of the hospital visit, reimbursement of Claims shall be through use of TSR Funds.

  • Other: COUNTY shall deposit into the Fund, or in the County 9 General Fund, as appropriate, any funds not specifically identified in the Agreement but expressly 10 deemed by law, regulation, or other legal action, to be used for partial reimbursement of uncompensated 11 Emergency Services and/or Care provided by Physicians.

  • Physicians shall provide Emergency Services and/or Care to all persons presenting for 1 emergency treatment.

  • Physicians shall provide Emergency Services and/or Care to all persons presenting for 19 emergency treatment.

  • Period Five - $3.00 per Claim received by CONTRACTOR from Physicians during the 14 period between and including July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 for Emergency Services and/or Care 15 provided within one year of the Claim being submitted.

  • Other: COUNTY shall deposit into the Fund, or in the County 4 General Fund, as appropriate, any funds not specifically identified in the Agreement but expressly 5 deemed by law, regulation, or other legal action, to be used for partial reimbursement of uncompensated 6 Emergency Services and/or Care provided by Physicians.

  • Other: COUNTY shall deposit into the Fund, or in the County 17 General Fund, as appropriate, any funds not specifically identified in the Agreement but expressly 18 deemed by law, regulation, or other legal action, to be used for partial reimbursement of uncompensated 19 Emergency Services and/or Care provided by Physicians.

  • For Emergency Services and/or Care provided after twenty-four (24) hours, but not 4 more than the immediately following two (2) calendar days after the date services are first provided, 5 reimbursement of Claims shall be through use of all other Funds in accordance with all applicable laws 6 and regulations governing their use.

  • Emergency services means police, fire, ambulance, rescue, and medical services.

  • Emergency service provider means a uniformed or otherwise identified employee or contractor of a fire department, hospital, or police station when that individual is inside the premises and on duty. Emergency service provider also includes a paramedic or an emergency medical technician when either of those individuals is responding to a 9-1-1 emergency call.

  • Emergency Service If you are unable to reach Administrator at 877.634.0964 and you require emergency repair, you may contact any manufacturer authorized service repair facility listed in your phone book or online. Mail Administrator your original repair bill along with the technician’s report and a copy of the Agreement to the address at the top of this Agreement for reimbursement. All coverage and exclusions in this Agreement will apply. Wisconsin: ARBITRATION section of this Agreement is removed. CANCELLATION section is amended as follows: If We cancel this Agreement, We will provide written notice of cancellation, including the effective date of the cancellation and the actual reason for the cancellation, to the last known mailing address at least five (5) days prior to the effective date of the cancellation. Claims paid or the cost of repairs performed shall not be deducted from the amount to be refunded upon cancellation of this Agreement. THIS CONTRACT IS SUBJECT TO LIMITED REGULATION BY THE OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF INSURANCE. If You cancel within thirty (30) days of receipt of Your Agreement, You must first return to the Selling Retailer or to the Obligor should the Selling Retailer not be available. Proof of loss should be furnished by You to the Administrator as soon as reasonably possible and within one (1) year after the time required by this Agreement. Failure to furnish such notice or proof within the time required by this Agreement does not invalidate or reduce a claim. A ten percent (10%) penalty per month shall be applied to refunds not paid or credited within forty-five (45) days of receipt of returned Service Agreement. If Administrator fails to provide, or reimburse or pay for, a service that is covered under this Agreement within sixty-one (61) days after You provide proof of loss, or if the Administrator becomes insolvent or otherwise financially impaired, You may file a claim directly with the Insurer for reimbursement, payment, or provision of the service. If Your cancellation request is made more than thirty (30) days from the date of purchase, You will receive a pro-rata refund of the Agreement purchase price, less the cost of repairs made (if any), and less an administrative fee to not exceed $50.00 or ten percent (10%) of the purchase price whichever is less.

  • Emergency Care means management for an illness or injury which results in symptoms which occur suddenly and unexpectedly, and requires immediate care by a medical practitioner to prevent death or serious long term impairment of the insured person’s health.

  • Emergency medical services provider means a person who has received formal training in prehospital and emergency care, and is licensed to attend any person who is ill or injured or who has a disability. Police officers, firefighters, funeral home employees and other persons serving in a dual capacity one of which meets the definition of “emergency medical services provider” are “emergency medical services providers” within the meaning of this chapter.

  • Pharmacy services means the practice of pharmacy as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW and includes any drugs or devices as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW.

  • Administration Services means the services required for the effective and efficient administration of Bonitas and includes, but are not necessarily limited to, member record management, contribution management, benefit option management, claims processing and management, management of members’ personal, claims and financial information and any other services that are required for the administration of Bonitas;

  • Emergency Energy means energy supplied from Operating Reserve or electrical generation available for sale in New York or PJM or available from another Balancing Authority Area. Emergency Energy may be provided in cases of sudden and unforeseen outages of generating units, transmission lines or other equipment, or to meet other sudden and unforeseen circumstances such as forecast errors, or to provide sufficient Operating Reserve. Emergency Energy is provided pursuant to this Agreement and the Inter Control Area Transactions Agreement dated May 1, 2000 and priced according to Section 35.6.4 of this Agreement and said Inter Control Area Transactions Agreement.

  • Consultancy Services means the Consultancy Services described in Schedule A;

  • Emergency medical services or “EMS” means an integrated medical care delivery system to provide emergency and nonemergency medical care at the scene or during out-of-hospital patient transportation in an ambulance.

  • Maritime agency services means activities consisting in representing, within a given geographic area, as an agent the business interests of one or more shipping lines or shipping companies, for the following purposes:

  • Agency Services Address means NationsBank, N.A., NC1-001-15-04, 000 Xxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxx, Charlotte, North Carolina 28255, Attn: Agency Services, or such other address as may be identified by written notice from the Administrative Agent to the Borrower.

  • Emergency medical care means such medical procedures as:

  • Emergency Service Number or "ESN" is a three to five digit number representing a unique combination of Emergency Response Agencies (law enforcement, fire and emergency medical service) designed to serve a specific range of addresses within a particular geographical area. The ESN facilitates Selective Routing and transfer, if required, to the appropriate PSAP and the dispatch of proper Emergency Response Agency(ies).

  • Home health aide services means the personal care and maintenance activities provided to individuals for the purpose of promoting normal standards of health and hygiene.

  • Medically Necessary Services means those covered services that are, under the terms and conditions of the contract, determined through contractor utilization management to be:

  • Inpatient services means services provided to you as an admitted inpatient in a recognised private or public hospital for treatment that is in an included clinical category, has a Medicare item number allocated and a Medicare benefit is payable.

  • Genetic services means a genetic test, genetic counseling (including obtaining, interpreting, or assessing genetic information), or genetic education.

  • Emergency Situations Fire, any other casualty, or any other events, circumstances or conditions which threaten the safety or physical well-being of the Facility's guests or employees or which involve the risk of material property damage or material loss to the Facility.

  • Emergency Situation means a situation in which an individual is experiencing a serious mental illness or a developmental disability, or a minor is experiencing a serious emotional disturbance, and 1 of the following applies:

  • Cemetery services means cremations, grave openings and closings, and installation of grave memorials.

  • water services means water supply services and sanitation services;

  • Data Services The Customer will receive a discount equal to 25% for the following Data Services: Access: Standard VBS2 Guide local loop charges for DS-1 Access and DS-3 Access Service.

  • Case management services means planned referral, linkage, monitoring and support, and advocacy provided in partnership with a consumer to assist that consumer with self sufficiency and community tenure and take place in the individual’s home, in the community, or in the facility, in accordance with a service plan developed with and approved by the consumer and qualified staff.

  • Emergency medical services personnel means that term as defined in section 20904 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.20904.

  • Health and Human Services or “HHS” includes HHSC and DSHS.
