Environment Pollution definition

Environment Pollution means the presence in the environment of any environmental pollutant;
Environment Pollution means emissions, because of human activity, of polluting matters and substances, vibrations, heat or noise, into the air, water or soil that may be harmful to the quality of the environment, human life and health or emission of polluting matters and substances that may cause damage to material property or impair or make impact on biological and landscape diversity and other ways of use of the environment;
Environment Pollution means any changes in the Environment characteristics, which may lead directly or indirectly to upsetting living organisms

Examples of Environment Pollution in a sentence

  • Project Company shall ensure that its use of water in no way results in damage to the Environment, Pollution or creates other hazards.

  • Based on Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (Pollution Control Department), for drinking water, the maximum allowable concentration of lead is 50 ng/mL, cadmium 5 ng/mL, and arsenic 50 ng/mL.

Related to Environment Pollution

  • Environmental pollution means the contaminating or rendering unclean or impure the air, land or waters of the state, or making the same injurious to public health, harmful for commer- cial or recreational use, or deleterious to fish, bird, animal or plant life.

  • Air pollution means the presence in the outdoor atmosphere of one or more substances which are or may be harmful or injurious to human health, welfare or safety; to animal or plant life; or to property; or which unreasonably interfere with the enjoyment by the people of life or property.

  • Environment means ambient and indoor air, surface water and groundwater (including potable water, navigable water and wetlands), the land surface or subsurface strata, natural resources such as flora and fauna, the workplace or as otherwise defined in any Environmental Law.

  • Natural environment means the air, land and water, or any combination or part thereof, of the Province of Ontario; (“environnement naturel”)

  • Water pollution means the unpermitted release of sediment from disturbed areas, solid waste or waste-derived constituents, or leachate to the waters of the state.
