Environmental Protection Statutes definition

Environmental Protection Statutes means each of the foregoing.
Environmental Protection Statutes means any United States local, state of federal or any foreign Law or agreement arising from or in connection with or relating to the protection or regulation of the environment (as defined in 42 U.S.C. Section 9601(8) as of the date of the Credit Agreement), including, those Laws or agreements relating to the disposal, cleanup, production, storing, refining, handling, transferring, processing or transporting of Hazardous Waste, Hazardous Substances or any pollutant or contaminant, wherever located. "Fitch" means Fitch, Inc.
Environmental Protection Statutes means all applicable laws, by-laws, regulations, standards or orders from time to time in force relating to environmental matters, the generation, use, handling, storage, disposal and transportation of any substance and the protection of the environment generally.

  • To the best of Borrower’s knowledge, the Borrower and its Subsidiaries are in compliance with all Environmental Protection Statutes except to the extent that failure to comply does not have, and would not reasonably be expected to have, a Material Adverse Effect.

  • Comply, and cause each of its Subsidiaries to comply, with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and orders (including applicable laws, rules, regulations and orders pertaining to ERISA and applicable Environmental Protection Statutes) to the extent noncompliance therewith would have a material adverse effect on the Borrower and its Subsidiaries taken as a whole.

  • Environmental pollution means the contaminating or rendering unclean or impure the air, land or waters of the state, or making the same injurious to public health, harmful for commer- cial or recreational use, or deleterious to fish, bird, animal or plant life.

  • Environmental Regulations means any federal, state or local law, statute, code, ordinance, regulation, requirement or rule relating to dangerous, toxic or hazardous pollutants, Hazardous Substances or chemical waste, materials or substances.

  • Environmental, Health or Safety Requirements of Law means all Requirements of Law derived from or relating to foreign, federal, state and local laws or regulations relating to or addressing pollution or protection of the environment, or protection of worker health or safety, including, but not limited to, the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, 42 U.S.C. § 9601 et seq., the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, 29 U.S.C. § 651 et seq., and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, 42 U.S.C. § 6901 et seq., in each case including any amendments thereto, any successor statutes, and any regulations or guidance promulgated thereunder, and any state or local equivalent thereof.

  • Data Protection Laws and Regulations means all laws and regulations, including laws and regulations of the European Union, the European Economic Area and their member states, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, applicable to the Processing of Personal Data under the Agreement.

A reasonable expectation of death or serious injury before abatement exists if a rational person, subjected to the same conditions, or practices giving rise to the peril, would not expose himself to the danger during the time necessary for abatement.

  • Environmental Policy means to conserve energy, water, wood, paper and other resources, reduce waste and phase out the use of ozone depleting substances and minimise the release of greenhouse gases, volatile organic compounds and other substances damaging to health and the environment, including any written environmental policy of the Customer;

  • Occupational Safety and Health Law means any Legal Requirement designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and any program, whether governmental or private (such as those promulgated or sponsored by industry associations and insurance companies), designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions.

  • Controlled Substances Act means the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. Sections 801 et seq.), as amended from time to time, and any successor statute.

  • Environmental, Health and Safety Liabilities means any cost, damages, expense, liability, obligation or other responsibility arising from or under any Environmental Law.

  • Environmental Legislation means any laws, statutes, regulations, orders, bylaws, permits or lawful requirements of any governmental authority with respect to environmental protection;

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act means the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No 85 of 1993);

  • Public Utilities Act means the Illinois Public Utilities Act, 220 ILCS 5.

  • Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP means any pollutant listed by the EPA as a hazardous air pollutant in conformance with Section 112(b) of the Clean Air Act. A list of these pollutants is available at the Division of Air Quality.

  • Environmental Safeguards means the principles and requirements set forth in Chapter V, Appendix 1, and Appendix 4 (as applicable) of the SPS;

  • Health and Safety means, in relation to a recipient or a third person, the prevention of death or serious personal injury;
