Company By-laws means the by-laws of the Company, as amended to the date of this Agreement.
Whistleblower means an Employee or director making a Protected Disclosure under this Policy.
Clinical social worker means a person who practices social work as defined in § 54.1-3700.
Social Security Act means the Social Security Act of 1965 as set forth in Title 42 of the United States Code, as amended, and any successor statute thereto, as interpreted by the rules and regulations issued thereunder, in each case as in effect from time to time.
Unemployment Insurance means the contribution required of Vendor, as an employer, in respect of, and measured by, the wages of its employees (or subcontractors) as required by any applicable federal, state or local unemployment insurance law or regulation.
Social Security means the old-age survivors and disability section of the Federal Social Security Act;
Estimated Social Security means, for an employee covered by Social Security, an employee's estimated OASDI retirement benefit. The benefit is based upon an estimated "average indexed monthly earnings" for an employee retiring at age 65 in 2023 - it does not include any amounts which might be payable to an eligible spouse or children.
Unemployment compensation means cash benefits (including depend- ents’ allowances) payable to individ- uals with respect to their unemploy- ment, and includes regular, additional, emergency, and extended compensa- tion.(2) Regular compensation means unem- ployment compensation payable to an individual under any State law, but not including additional compensation or extended compensation.(3) Additional compensation means un- employment compensation totally fi- nanced by a State and payable under a State law by reason of conditions of high unemployment or by reason of other special factors.(4) Emergency compensation means supplementary unemployment com- pensation payable under a temporary Federal law after exhaustion of regular and extended compensation.(5) Extended compensation means un- employment compensation payable to an individual for weeks of unemploy- ment in an extended benefit period, under those provisions of a State law which satisfy the requirements of the Federal-State Extended Unemploy- ment Compensation Act of 1970, as amended, 26 U.S.C. 3304 note, and part 615 of this chapter, with respect to the payment of extended compensation.
Participating Clinical Social Worker means a Clinical Social Worker who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Immigrant means a person who enters the country with the expectation of legally residing in the United States of America rather than returning to the person’s country of origin.
Social Enterprise means a business that: (i) is owned by a non-profit organization or community services co-operative; (ii) is directly involved in the production and/or selling of goods and services for the combined purpose of generating income and achieving social, cultural, and/or environmental aims; and (iii) has a defined social and/or environmental mandate.
EU Data Protection Laws means EU Directive 95/46/EC, as transposed into domestic legislation of each Member State and as amended, replaced or superseded from time to time, including by the GDPR and laws implementing or supplementing the GDPR;
Zoning By-law means the Zoning By-Law of the Municipality or any successor thereof passed pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act, S.O. 1998.

Non-Participating Clinical Social Worker means a Clinical Social Worker who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Anticorruption Laws means the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, or any other anticorruption or anti-bribery Applicable Law applicable to the Company or any of the Company Subsidiaries.
EU Data Protection Law means (i) prior to 25 May 2018, Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data ("Directive") and on and after 25 May 2018, Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); and (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of Personal Data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector and applicable national implementations of it (as may be amended, superseded or replaced).
Truancy means any absence of part or all of one or more days from school during which the school attendance officer, prin- cipal or teacher has not been notified of the legal cause of such absence by the parent or guardian of the absent pupil, and also means intermittent attendance carried on for the purpose of defeating the intent of s. 118.15.
Virement means transfer of funds between functions / votes
the Statutes means the Companies Act and every other act (as may from time to time be amended) for the time being in force in Bermuda applying to or affecting the Company, the Memorandum of Association and/or these presents;
Data Protection Laws and Regulations means all laws and regulations, including laws and regulations of the European Union, the European Economic Area and their member states, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, applicable to the Processing of Personal Data under the Agreement.
Workers’ Compensation As required by any applicable law or regulation. Employer's Liability Insurance: must be provided in amounts not less than listed below: Minimum limits: $500,000 each accident for bodily injury by accident $500,000 policy limit for bodily injury by disease $500,000 each employee for bodily injury by disease
Governing statute of an organization means the statute that governs the organization's internal affairs.
Social Media means web-based applications and on-line forums that allow users to interact, share and publish content such as text, links, photos, audio and video;
Worker means any person working in an elementary occupation on a SPWP;
Medicare Regulations means, collectively, (a) all Federal statues (whether set forth in Title XVIII of the Social Security Act or elsewhere) affecting the health insurance program for the aged and disabled established by Title XVIII of the Social Security Act and any statues succeeding thereto and (b) all applicable provisions of all rules, regulations, manuals and orders and administrative, reimbursement and other guidelines having the force of law of all Governmental Authorities (including CMS, the OIG, HHS or any person succeeding to the functions of any of the foregoing) promulgated pursuant to or in connection with any of the foregoing having the force of law, as each may be amended, supplemented or otherwise modified from time to time.
