Federal Transit Administration definition

Federal Transit Administration means: (1) An operating administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT), and (2) Designates the former Urban Mass Transportation Administration (also referred to as UMTA), so that any reference to the Urban Mass Transportation Administration is recognized to be a reference to the Federal Transit Administration, when appearing in any of the following records of the United States: (a) Law, (b) Map, (c) Regulation, (d) Document, (e) Paper, or (f) Other.
