On the day that the work has been completed and the Contractor has complied with the contract and all orders and directions pursuant thereto to the satisfaction of the Project Manager/Officer, the Project Manager/Officer will issue to the Contractor a Final Certificate of Completion.
The records maintained by the Contractor pursuant to this section shall be kept intact until the expiration of two years from the date of issuance of the Final Certificate of Completion under sub-section 24 of the General Conditions or until the expiration of such other period as the Commission may direct.
Should the Contractor receive notice from the Architect/Engineer requiring the correction, at the Contractor’s expense, of any defect or vice, regardless the cause, the Contractor will complete the necessary corrections on or before the deadline specified in said notice, in the event that the defect or vice becomes evident not later than twelve (12) months following the date of the Final Certificate of Completion.
The records maintained by the Contractor pursuant to this section shall be kept intact until the expiration of two years from the date of issuance of the Final Certificate of Completion under sub-section 24 of the General Conditions or until the expiration of such other period as the National Capital Commission may direct.
The acceptance by the Contractor of the last payment due under this Contract or the execution of the Final Certificate of Completion, shall operate as a release to the Owner from all claims and liability related to this Contract.
The Town will release the remaining securities for Secondary Services upon expiry of a one (1) year maintenance period and the issuance of the Final Certificate of Completion of Services.
The Town will release the remaining security for Primary Services upon expiry of a one (1) year maintenance period and the issuance of the Final Certificate of Completion of Primary Services.
This insurance shall be maintained continuously from commencement of the work until not less than 12 months from the date of the Final Certificate of Completion.
This inclusion herein of more than one insured shall not increase the limit of the Insurer's liability.2.2 Period of Insurance Coverage:The period of required insurance coverage for all insurance elements listed in CGL2: Coverages shall be from the date of execution of this contract until the date of issuance by the Departmental Representative of the Final Certificate of Completion.
Issuance by the City of the Final Certificate of Completion for the Project is contingent upon a Construction Check and approval by the City.
