Flush cleaning definition

Flush cleaning means removal of contaminants, such as dirt, grease, oil, and coatings, from an aerospace vehicle or component or coating equipment by passing solvent over, into, or through the item being cleaned. The solvent may simply be poured into the item being cleaned and then drained, or assisted by air or hydraulic pressure, or by pumping. The term does not include hand wipe cleaning operations where wiping, scrubbing, mopping, or other hand actions are used.

Monitoring frequencies for sewage sludge parameters are based on the reported sludge weight generated in a calendar year (use the most recent calendar year data when the NPDES permit is up for renewal).
