Effective July. 1 of the thirteenth (13th) year of consecutive service, a longevity increase of five (5) percent will be added to the employee's base salary.
Effective July. 1, 2005, the District’s share of the JROTC Instructor annual salary shall be increased by $4,000.00. The new total District portion above the minimum shall be $6,200.00.
Effective July. 1, 2015, the Division shall pay a teacher on maternity leave and/or parental leave:
(i) If the teacher’s two (2) week or ten (10) day waiting period falls entirely on teaching days, ninety percent (90%) of the teacher’s gross salary plus up to seventy-five (75) teaching days of maternity leave top-up calculated at the difference between the teacher’s employment insurance benefit and ninety percent (90%) of the teacher’s gross salary provided the teacher remains on either maternity or parental leave and continues to receive employment insurance benefits.
(ii) If the teacher’s two (2) week or ten (10) day waiting period falls partially or entirely within a non-teaching period, ninety percent (90%) of the teacher’s gross salary for any teaching days and up to eighty-five (85) teaching days of maternity leave top-up calculated at the difference between the teacher’s employment insurance benefit and ninety percent (90%) of the teacher’s gross salary provided the teacher remains on either maternity or parental leave and continues to receive employment insurance benefits.
(iii) up to fifty (50) teaching days of parental leave top-up calculated at the difference between the teacher’s employment insurance benefit and ninety percent (90%) of the teacher’s gross salary provided the teacher remains on either maternity or parental leave and continues to receive employment insurance benefits. For greater certainty, a teacher who is receiving employment insurance benefits shall be entitled to:
(i) one hundred and thirty-five (135) teaching days of pay and/or top-up benefits if the teacher takes both maternity leave and parental leave;
(ii) eighty-five (85) teaching days of pay and/or top-up benefits if the teacher only takes maternity leave;
(iii) Fifty (50) teaching days of pay and/or top-up benefits if the teacher only takes parental leave; unless the teacher takes a shorter period of maternity leave or parental leave in which case, the pay and/or top-up will be pro-rated to reflect the actual number of teaching days taken. The parties acknowledge that the top-up payment made by the Division for maternity leave may extend into the period of time that the teacher is on parental leave but the payment is intended to be a top-up of maternity leave benefits.
Effective July. 1, 1989 the Board shall continue its normal premium contributions for any plan under Article 16 in which the employee participates, excluding Long Term Disability, during the statutory period of an approved Pregnancy or Parental Leave.
Effective July. 1, 2004 employees who retire during the year they initially become eligible for normal retirement or before June 30, shall receive an additional one (1%) percent per year of employment with the Wakulla County School Board to a maximum of thirty (30%) percent of their annual salary if such retirement is to be effective no later than June 30 of that school year and if written notice is received by March 1 of that school year. Employees who are granted a disability retirement shall receive terminal pay totaling one (1%) per year of employment with the Wakulla County School Board to a maximum of thirty (30%) percent. Employees who begin service with the Wakulla County School Board on or after July 1, 2004 shall not be eligible for this benefit.
Effective July. 1, 1999, the salary for the classifications listed below and the incumbents in the classifications shall be increased by 5 percent. The increase shall be calculated by multiplying the base salary by 1.
Effective July. 1, 2007 drivers eligible for the School Bus Driver II classification (as specified in this job description) shall be paid at Salary Range 19 for their regularly established hours of employment plus any additional time required to drive their assigned home to school route. Such drivers shall be paid at the School Bus Driver I classification (Salary Range 16) for any additional driving time for extra trip assignments (pursuant to Article 9.4).
Effective July. 1, 2007, a one-time adjustment of one percent (1%) shall be included in the base pay of all employees in the bargaining unit, reflecting Section 27.1 of the 2003-2007 MOU.
