Grama Niladhari Divisions means administrative units in each division as described in the Implementation Plan and the Community Operational Manual;

• The Northern Province is divided into five administrative districts, 34 Divisional Secretary's Divisions (DS Divisions) and 421 Grama Niladhari Divisions (GN Divisions), 2304 villages served by 36 Local Authorities, 28 Pradeshiya Sabhas, five Urban Councils and one Municipal Council.

• The DS Divisions are further sub-divided into 762 Grama Niladhari Divisions (GN Divisions).

• The Eastern Province is divided into 3 administrative districts, 45 Divisional Secretary's Divisions (DS Divisions) and 1,085 Grama Niladhari Divisions (GN Divisions).

• The project affected area covers certain parts of two Divisional Secretaries Divisions (DS Divisions), namely, Ganga Ihala Koralaya and the Udapalatha and 14 Grama Niladhari Divisions (G N Divisions) coming within the two D S Divisions.

• Box 3.1 Survey Design The livelihoods survey elicited responses from 800 households in 11 GN (Grama Niladhari) Divisions located next to Yala National Park (see Table 3.1 and Map 3.1).

• Related applications and "Attachment I" including village list and list of Grama Niladhari Divisions can be obtained by relevant District Secretariat (Government Agents) or Land and District Registries or Divisional Secretariats of the District.

• The other infrastructure bodies should also be included to ensure that the strategy and plans have cross- jurisdictional alignment and interconnectedness.
