Gravel Pit definition

Gravel Pit means any open excavation made for the removal of any soil, earth, clay, marl, sand, gravel or unconsolidated rock or mineral to supply such material for construction, industrial or manufacturing purposes. This definition shall not include:
Gravel Pit means a pit formed by extraction of gravel (being a naturally occurring mixture of coarse mineral particles larger than 2.0 millimetres and smaller than 75 millimetres in diameter);
Gravel Pit means an excavation from the surface of the land for the purpose of removing gravel. In this policy, gravel pits are sites where gravel extraction activities are actively taking place and do not include stockpile sites.

More Definitions of Gravel Pit

Gravel Pit means a pit formed by extraction of gravel for the purposes of road construction, upgrading or maintenance;
