WAYSIDE PIT definition

WAYSIDE PIT means a temporary open excavation made for the removal of any soil, earth, clay, marl, sand, gravel or unconsolidated rock or mineral, opened and used by a public road authority solely for the purpose of a particular project or contract of road construction.
WAYSIDE PIT means an open excavation incidental to the construction or maintenance of a street, and includes a wayside pit as defined in the Aggregate Resources Act, as amended from time to time, or any successors thereto.
WAYSIDE PIT or "WAYSIDE QUARRY" means a temporary pit or quarry opened and used by a public road authority solely for the purpose of a particular project or contract of road construction and not located on the road right of way.
