Gross Heating definition

Gross Heating. Value shall mean the total Btu content for a Cubic Foot of Gas on a dry basis as determined by calculation from a compositional analysis using physical properties of gases at fourteen and seventy-three hundredths (14.73) psia and sixty degrees Fahrenheit (60°F), as prescribed by industry standards.
Gross Heating. Value The quantity of heat expressed in British Thermal Units produced by the complete combustion in air of one cubic foot of anhydrous gas, at a temperature of 60.0oF and at an absolute pressure of 14.696 pounds per square inch, with the air at the same temperature and pressure as the gas, after cooling the products of the combustion to the initial temperature of the gas and air, and after condensation of the water formed by combustion.

  • The samples will be analysed in accordance with ASTM D1945 ‘Standard Method for Analysis of Natural Gas by Gas Chromatography’, and the calculations for Gross Heating Value and relative density will be determined in accordance with ISO 6976 ‘Natural Gas – Calculation of Calorific Value, Density and Relative Density’ and American Gas Association Report No 8 ‘Compressibility and Super compressibility for Natural Gas and other Hydrocarbon Gases’.

  • The Gross Heating Value of the Gas shall be corrected for water vapor content in accordance with GPA 181 and 2172.

  • The component analysis and Gross Heating Value of the Gas shall be determined and calculated at least semi-annually by whomever is operating the CTM equipment, as determined in Section D.4, but either party may conduct such analysis at its discretion and cost.

  • For Gas, the product of (i) a volume of Gas in Cubic Feet and (ii) the Gross Heating Value of such Gas, as expressed in MMBtus.

  • The gas chromatograph will provide instantaneous outputs of dry Gross Heating Value in MJ/m3, real and ideal relative density, and compositions of inerts.

  • The Parties shall co-operate in the design, selection and acquisition of devices to be used for measurements and tests in order that all measurements and tests may be conducted in the SI system of units, except for the quantity delivered which is expressed in MMBtu, the Gross Heating Value (volume based) which is expressed in Btu/SCF and the pressure which is expressed in millibar and temperature in Celsius.

  • The gas characteristics including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Gross Heating Value, relative density, nitrogen and carbon dioxide content, shall be determined by continuous recording equipment, laboratory equipment or through computer modeling.

  • The energy flow rate will be calculated by the flow computer in GJs per hour (GJ/hr) from the product of Gross Heating Value and the volumetric flow, all at the Standard Conditions.

  • All receipts and deliveries of Producers’ Gas and MV Mitigation Gas less System Fuel and Losses shall be balanced on a MMBtu basis, and all quantities referred to herein shall be adjusted for the Gross Heating Value thereof.

Related to Gross Heating

  • Cheating means intentionally misrepresenting the source, nature, or other conditions of academic work so as to accrue undeserved credit, or to cooperate with someone else in such misrepresentation. Such misrepresentations may, but need not necessarily, involve the work of others. Cheating includes, but is not limited to:

  • Gross household income means gross income of a household as those terms are defined in rules of the authority.

  • Gross Heating Value means the total heat expressed in megajoules per cubic metre (MJ/m³) produced by the complete combustion at constant pressure of one (1) cubic metre of gas with air, with the gas free of water vapour and the temperature of the gas, air and products of combustion at standard temperature and all water formed by the combustion reaction condensed to the liquid state;

  • Gross Station Heat Rate or ‘GHR’ means the heat energy input in kCal required to generate one kWh of electrical energy at generator terminals of a thermal generating station;

  • Base Operating Costs means Operating Costs for the calendar year specified as the Base Year in the Basic Lease Information (excluding therefrom, however, any Operating Costs of a nature that would not ordinarily be incurred on an annual, recurring basis).

  • Base Operating Expenses means the Operating Expenses for the Base Year.

  • Consumption of a chemical means its conversion into another chemical via a chemical reaction.

  • Common Area Operating Expenses are defined, for purposes of this Lease, as all costs incurred by Lessor relating to the ownership and operation of the Industrial Center, including, but not limited to, the following: (i) The operation, repair and maintenance, in neat, clean, good order and condition, of the following:

  • Operating Cost means the costs associated with operating a multifamily development once the project is placed in service.

  • Marketing Expenses means all costs and expenses incurred in connection with the Commercialization of the Product in the Territory, including, without limitation: (a) marketing, advertising, sampling, and promotional activities; (b) marketing studies; (c) primary and secondary market research; (d) promotional materials; and (e)

  • Passenger area means the area designed to seat the driver and passengers while a motor vehicle is in operation and any area that is readily accessible to the driver or a passenger while in his or her seating position, including but not limited to any type of glove or storage compartment accessible to passengers or driver.

  • Marketing Costs which means such reasonable charge for marketing of ores and concentrates sold or of concentrates tolled as is consistent with generally accepted industry marketing practices;

  • Operating Costs means the incremental expenses incurred by the Recipient on account of Project implementation, management, and monitoring, including for office space rental, utilities, and supplies, bank charges, communications, vehicle operation, maintenance, and insurance, building and equipment maintenance, advertising expenses, travel and supervision, salaries of contractual and temporary staff, but excluding salaries, fees, honoraria, and bonuses of members of the Recipient’s civil service.

  • Water-oriented use means a use that is water-dependent, water-related, or water-enjoyment, or a combination of such uses.

  • Gross Operating Expenses shall include (i) all costs and expenses of operating the Hotel included within the meaning of the term “Total Costs and Expenses” contained in the Uniform System and, (ii) without duplication, the following: all salaries and employee expense and payroll taxes (including salaries, wages, bonuses and other compensation of all employees of the Hotel, and benefits including life, medical and disability insurance and retirement benefits), expenditures described in Section 9.1, operational supplies, utilities, insurance to be provided by Lessee under the terms of this Lease, governmental fees and assessments, common area maintenance costs and other common area fees and assessments, food, beverages, laundry service expense, the cost of Inventories, license fees, advertising, marketing, reservation systems and any and all other operating expenses as are reasonably necessary for the proper and efficient operation of the Hotel and the Leased Property incurred by Lessee in accordance with the provisions hereof (excluding, however, (i) federal, state and municipal excise, sales and use taxes collected directly from patrons and guests or as a part of the sales price of any goods, services or displays, such as gross receipts, admissions, cabaret or similar or equivalent taxes paid over to federal, state or municipal governments, (ii) the cost of insurance to be provided under Article 13, (iii) expenditures by Lessor pursuant to Article 13 and (iv) payments on any Mortgage or other mortgage or security instrument on the Hotel); all determined in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. No part of Lessee’s central office overhead or general or administrative expense (as opposed to that of the Hotel), and no operating expenses paid or payable by tenants under Space Leases, shall be deemed to be a part of Gross Operating Expenses, as herein provided. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses of Lessee incurred for the account of or in connection with the Hotel operations, including but not limited to postage, telephone charges and reasonable travel expenses of employees, officers and other representatives and consultants of Lessee and its Affiliates, shall be deemed to be a part of Gross Operating Expenses and such Persons shall be afforded reasonable accommodations, food, beverages, laundry, valet and other such services by and at the Hotel without charge to such Persons or Lessee.

  • Building Operating Expenses means the portion of “Operating Expenses,” as that term is defined in Section 4.2.7 below, allocated to the tenants of the Building pursuant to the terms of Section 4.3.1 below.

  • Gross Rooms Revenue means all revenues derived from the sale or rental of Guest Rooms (both transient and permanent) of the Hotel, including revenue derived from the redemption of points or rewards under the loyalty programs in which the Hotel participates, amounts attributable to breakfast (where the guest room rate includes breakfast), Mandatory Guest Fees, late cancellation fees, and guaranteed no- show revenue and credit transactions, whether or not collected, at the actual rates charged, less allowances for any Guest Room rebates and overcharges, and will not include taxes collected directly from patrons or guests. Group booking rebates, if any, paid by you or on your behalf to third-party groups for group stays must be included in, and not deducted from, the calculation of Gross Rooms Revenue.

  • Gross Income from Operations means, during any period, all sustainable income as reported on the financial statements delivered by Borrower in accordance with this Agreement, computed in accordance with GAAP, derived from the ownership and operation of the Property from whatever source during such period, including (i) Rents from Tenants that are in occupancy, open for business and paying full contractual rent without right of offset or credit, (ii) utility charges, (iii) escalations, (iv) forfeited security deposits, (v) interest on credit accounts, (vi) service fees or charges, (vii) license fees, (viii) parking fees, (ix) rent concessions or credits, (x) income from vending machines, (xi) business interruption or other loss of income or rental insurance proceeds, (xii) other required pass-throughs and (xiii) interest on Reserve Funds, if any, but excluding (i) Rents from month-to-month Tenants, Tenants during a free-rent period, or Tenants that are included in any Bankruptcy Action, (ii) sales, use and occupancy or other taxes on receipts required to be accounted for by Borrower to any Governmental Authority, (iii) refunds and uncollectible accounts, (iv) sales of furniture, fixtures and equipment, (v) Insurance Proceeds (other than business interruption or other loss of income or rental insurance), (vi) Awards, (vii) unforfeited security deposits, (viii) utility and other similar deposits and (ix) any disbursements to Borrower from the Reserve Funds, if any. Gross income shall not be diminished as a result of the Security Instrument or the creation of any intervening estate or interest in the Property or any part thereof.

  • Ventilation means the supply of outside air into a building through window or other openings due to wind outside and convection effects arising from temperature, or vapour pressure differences (or both) between inside and outside of the building;

  • Gross Floor Area means the total floor area, measured between the outside of exterior walls or between the outside of exterior walls and the centre line of party walls dividing the building from another building, of all floors above the average level of finished ground adjoining the building at its exterior walls;

  • Operating Expense means salaries, wages, cost of maintenance and operation, materials, supplies, insurance and all other items normally included under recognized accounting practices, but does not include allowances for depreciation in the value of physical property.

  • Gross receipts means the total revenue derived from sales, work done, or service rendered.

  • Utilities means public sanitary and storm sewers, natural gas, telephone, public water facilities, electrical facilities and all other utility facilities and services necessary for the operation and occupancy of the Property as a hotel.

  • Electricity Services means the services associated with the provision of electricity to a person, including the exchange of electric energy, making financial arrangements to manage financial risk associated with the pool price, Distribution Access Service, system access service, ancillary services, billing, metering, performing load settlement and any other services specified in regulations made under the Act;

  • Gross weight means the aggregate weight of a vehicle or combination of vehicles and the load

  • Common Area means all areas and facilities within the Project that are not designated by Landlord for the exclusive use of Tenant or any other lessee or other occupant of the Project, including the parking areas, access and perimeter roads, pedestrian sidewalks, landscaped areas, trash enclosures, recreation areas and the like.
