HDSL 4W definition

HDSL 4W provides a channel with 4-wire interfaces at each end. Each 2-wire channel is suitable for the transport of 784 kbps digital signals simultaneously in both directions using the 2B1Q line code. HDSL compatible ULLs will be available only where existing copper facilities can meet the specifications.
HDSL 4W consists of two 2-wire, non-loaded, twisted copper pairs that meet the carrier serving area design criteria. The HDSL power spectral density mask and dc line power limits referenced in BA TR 72575 must be met. 4-Wire HDSL-compatible Local Loops are subject to availability.
