Injury definition

Injury means accidental physical bodily harm excluding illness or disease solely and directly caused by external, violent and visible and evident means which is verified and certified by a Medical Practitioner.

Injury or “Injuries” means bodily harm caused by an Accident which: 1) occurs while Your coverage is in effect under the Policy; and 2) requires examination and treatment by a Legally Qualified Physician. The Injury must be the direct cause of loss and must be independent of all other causes and must not be caused by, or result from, Sickness.

Injury means any bodily damage (with or without a visible wound) solely caused by an Accident independent of any other causes.

Examples of Injury in a sentence

• Coverage will include, but not be limited to, Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Personal Injury, Contractual Liability for this Agreement, Independent Contractors, Broad Form Property Damage including Completed Operations and Products and Completed Operations Coverage.

• Compensation payable shall not exceed 52 weeks in respect of any one Injury calculated from the date the Person Insured were first examined by a Medical Practitioner.

• When an eligible unit member who has exhausted all vacation, as well as all paid sick leave at full pay, including accumulated sick leave, continues to be absent for purposes of parental bonding under the California Family Rights Act (CFRA; Government Code section 12945.2) he or she may use any available 50% pay leave pursuant to paragraph 2 of Article 9, Personal Illness and Injury Leave, as long as the period of paid parental bonding leave does not exceed a total of 12 workweeks.

• We will pay the Person(s) Insured up to the limit specified in the Policy Schedule or Endorsement if the Person(s) Insured is unable to engage in or attend to his/her occupation, profession or business due to Injury as certified by a Medical Practitioner.

• We will pay the Person(s) Insured up to the limit specified in the Policy Schedule or Endorsement if the Person(s) Insured is completely unable to engage in or attend to his/her occupation, profession or business in full physical capacity due to Injury as certified by a Medical Practitioner.

More Definitions of Injury

Injury means physical harm to an employee caused by accident or disease in the performance of duties by the employee.
