Serious Injury or Illness definition

Serious Injury or Illness means an Injury or Illness incurred in the line of duty that may render the member of the Armed Forces medically unfit to perform his or her military duties.
Serious Injury or Illness means an injury or illness incurred by a Covered Service member in the line of duty or on active duty in the Armed Forces, National Guard of Reserves, incurred in the line of duty on active duty or whose pre-existing condition has been aggravated by his/her active duty service, that may render the service member medically unfit to perform the duties of the member’s office, grade, rank or rating.
Serious Injury or Illness means: In the case of a current member of the Armed Forces, including a member of the National Guard or Reserves, means an injury or illness that was incurred by the covered service member in the line of duty on active duty in the Armed Forces or that existed before the beginning of the member’s active duty and was aggravated by service in the line of duty on active duty in the Armed Forces, and that may render the member medically unfit to perform the duties of the member’s office, grade, rank or rating; and

  • Serious injury or illness to a family member dependent upon the employee, constituting an emergency or crisis, and requiring the attention of a medical professional subject to the requirements of subsection B.8 and B.9 hereinafter set forth.

Serious Injury or Illness means an injury or illness that was incurred by the covered servicemember in the line of duty on active duty in the Armed Forces or that existed before the beginning of the member's active duty and was aggravated by service in the line of duty on active duty in the Armed Forces and that may render the servicemember medically unfit to perform the duties of the member's office, grade, rank, or rating.
Serious Injury or Illness means, an injury or illness incurred by a covered servicemember in the line of duty on active duty (or that existed before active duty and was aggravated by line of duty active service) that may render the servicemember medically unfit to perform the duties of the member’s office, grade, rank, or rating.
