The aforementioned provisions are buttressed by the powers, functions and duties of the Inspecting Judge provided for in section 90(2) of the Act.The Inspectorate comprises a Complaints Unit whose main task it is to receive and deal with inmates’ complaints and requests that are not resolved at centre or management area level.
