Insured Spouse definition

Insured Spouse means an Insured Person who is a Spouse.
Insured Spouse means the named person specified as such in the Schedule (under Relationship to Principal Insured), being the surviving legal spouse of the Principal Insured
Insured Spouse. Means a person who is legally married to the Principal Insured, who is living with the Principal Insured, who is under sixty-five (65) years of age, who is covered under this Policy and who is named in the Policy Schedule.

  • We will always make available a plan of insurance to which an Insured Spouse may convert.

  • We agree to pay the death benefit upon receipt of due proof of death of the Insured Spouse.

  • Conversion of Spouse's Term Rider The insurance on the Insured Spouse may be converted at any time to a new contract without evidence of insurability upon written request to us provided: (1) this rider is in force; and(2) the request for conversion on the Insured Spouse is made no later than 31 days after the expiration date.The premium for the new contract will be based on the age of the Insured Spouse on the contract date of the new contract.

  • Suicide If the Insured or the Insured Spouse dies by suicide, while sane or insane, within two years of the effective date of this rider, the amount payable by us will be equal to the total cost of insurance and any expense charges associated with this rider.

  • If this rider terminates because of the Insured's death by suicide, the Insured Spouse has 31 days in which to convert the insurance according to the terms of the Conversion Provision.

  • This Rider also terminates on the earliest of the following dates: (1) the date this Rider is converted to a new Policy; (2) the Policy Anniversary on which the Insured Spouse reaches Attained Age 70; or (3) the date the Policy to which this Rider is attached terminates.


More Definitions of Insured Spouse

Insured Spouse means the spouse named and proposed for insurance in the application for this Rider.
Insured Spouse means a person who: (a) was an Eligible Spouse on his or her first Current Benefit Date; (b) became insured under the Policy, as approved by New York Life; and (c) remains insured under the Policy.

Without a Participant’s effective designation, “Designated Beneficiary” will mean the Participant’s estate.

  • Military spouse means a person who is married to a military service member.

  • Eligible Spouse means a spouse of an Eligible Retiree who satisfies the requirements for eligibility described in the Eligibility section of this document, or an ex-spouse who is an Eligible Spouse with rights to coverage as an Eligible Spouse pursuant to a court order recognized by SHARP. A Spouse must be married to retiree at least one year prior to the effective date of retirement. A Spouse married after the retiree’s effective retirement date is considered a non-eligible spouse for purposes of the Plan. [See “Spouse”]

  • Beneficiary means each designated person, or the estate of the deceased Executive, entitled to benefits, if any, upon the death of the Executive, determined according to Article 4.

  • Joint Annuitant means the individual specified as such in the Data Pages. The Joint Annuitant must be the spouse of the Annuitant on the Contract Date.

  • Institutionalized spouse means a married person living in a medical institution, or nursing facility, or home- and community-based waiver setting who is likely to remain living in these circumstances for at least 30 consecutive days, and whose spouse is not in a medical institution or nursing facility for the purposes of rules 441—75.5(249A), 441—75.16(249A), and 441—76.10(249A). “Local office” shall mean the county office of the department of human services or the mental health

  • Disabled Participant with respect to a loan if it has no right to exercise any voting or other control rights with respect to such loan (other than the right to approve amendments to the material economic terms of such loan).

  • Pecuniary benefit means benefit in the form of money, property, commercial interests or anything else the primary significance of which is economic gain. Expenses associated with social occasions afforded public servants shall not be deemed a pecuniary benefit.

  • Accrued Benefit means the amount standing in a Participant's Account(s) as of any date derived from both Employer contributions and Employee contributions, if any.

  • Qualified Beneficiaries has the meaning set forth in Section 4.12.
