Irrigation use definition

Irrigation use means the use of water for application to more than five acres [2.0 hectares] of land to stimulate the growth of agricultural crops, including gardens, orchards, lawns, trees, or shrubbery, or the maintenance of recreation areas such as athletic fields, golf courses, parks, and similar types of areas, except when the water for the facility is provided by a municipal water system.
Irrigation use means the use of water for production of agricultural crops, including grain grown for feeding wildfowl.
Irrigation use means use of water for the production of food, fiber, crops, timber, fruits, nuts; and water applied to pastures, fields, landscaping, horticulture services, and golf courses.

Irrigation use means the use of water for lawn, garden, or landscaping irrigation on a residential parcel of land. The term does not include water used for commercial, agricultural or farm irrigation, except as specifically directed by the MDEQ.
