Examples of Jury and Witness Leave in a sentence
Jury and Witness Leave Each person employed by the Board shall be allowed leave with pay for the purposes of serving as a juror in any court or when attending a judicial proceeding in response to a subpoena or other court order or process that requires the employee’s attendance at the judicial proceeding.
Jury and Witness Leave Any employee who is called for jury duty during work hours or who is required to appear as a witness in any judicial or administrative proceedings will be permitted to perform such services and will receive full pay for the reasonable and necessary time he/she is absent from work in such cause.

For clarity, this article does not apply to an employee who is off on any leave(s) pursuant to Articles, 8 (Union Representation), 20 (Vacation), 23.02 (Jury and Witness Leave), 23.03 (Bereavement Leave), 23.04 (Special/Compassionate Leave), 21 (Sick Leave / Weekly Indemnity), and 24 (Pregnancy Leave and Parental Leave), or is on Long Term Disability.

This Policy relates to the management of Wheatbelt NRM employee leave and covers Annual Leave, Personal/Carer’s Leave, Compassionate Leave, Parental Leave, Partner Leave, Short Leave, Leave without pay, Long Service Leave, and Jury and Witness Leave.
