Kansas Expanded Lottery Act definition

Kansas Expanded Lottery Act means the provisions contained in K.S.A. 2008 Supp. 74-8733 et seq., and amendments thereto which may become effective during this Agreement’s term.
Kansas Expanded Lottery Act means the provisions contained in K.S.A. 2008 Supp. 74-8733 et.seq., and amendments thereto which may hereinafter become effective.
Kansas Expanded Lottery Act or “KELA” shall have the meaning provided by K.S.A. 74-8733, as amended.

  • The Expanded Lottery Act program ensures the integrity of electronic gaming devices, accurate reporting of net expanded gaming revenues, and compliance with management contracts as well as duties and responsibilities prescribed within the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act.

  • K.S.A. 60- 2102(b)(1);▪ Appeals from final decisions in any actions challenging the constitutionality of or arising out of any provision of the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act, or arising out of any lottery gaming facility or racetrack gaming facility management contract entered into under the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act.

  • Notwithstanding any other provision in this Agreement, if Manager fails to pay this privilege fee within 30 days after the Commission’s approval, this Agreement will be void and Manager will forfeit any rights it may have to be a Lottery Gaming Facility Manager under the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act.

  • Subject to the condition that all approvals required by the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act are obtained, this Agreement constitutes a valid and binding obligation on Manager that is fully enforceable in accordance with its terms, and does not constitute a breach of, or default under, any other agreement to which Manager is a party or any of its assets are bound or affected.

  • To hold and save harmless any Indemnified Party from liability for any claim arising as a result of the selection of Manager under the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act to manage the Lottery Gaming Facility, the denial of some other potential manager in making that selection, the process used in making the selection, or the process used in applying to become a Lottery Gaming Facility Manager under the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act.

  • If Manager fails to pay these expenses when due, this Agreement may be void, and Manager may forfeit any rights it may have to be a Lottery Gaming Facility Manager under the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act ten (10) days after receiving written notice from the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission of Manager’s failure to timely pay.

  • Lawn and garden insecticide means an insecticide product labeled primarily to be used in household lawn and garden areas to protect plants from insects or other arthropods. Notwithstanding the requirements of section 6(c) aerosol “Lawn and Garden Insecticides” may claim to kill insects or other arthropods.

  • Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act means the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act, 2013 (Act 16 of 2013);

  • Ex-situ conservation means the conservation of components of biological diversity outside their natural habitats.

  • Restricted use pesticide means any pesticide or device which, when used as directed or in accordance with a widespread and commonly recognized practice, the director determines, subsequent to a hearing, requires additional restrictions for that use to prevent unreasonable adverse effects on the environment including people, lands, beneficial insects, animals, crops, and wildlife, other than pests.

  • Atomic Energy Act means the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.

  • Disaster Management Act means the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No.57 of 2002)

  • Occupational Safety and Health Law means any Legal Requirement designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and any program, whether governmental or private (such as those promulgated or sponsored by industry associations and insurance companies), designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions.

  • Clean water standards, as used in this clause, means any enforceable limitation, control, condition, prohibition, standard, or other requirement promulgated under the Water Act or contained in a permit issued to a discharger by the Environmental Protection Agency or by a State under an approved program, as authorized by Section 402 of the Water Act (33 U.S.C. § 1342), or by local government to ensure compliance with pre-treatment regulations as required by Section 307 of the Water Act (33 U.S.C. § 1317).

  • Waste pile means any non-containerized accumulation of solid, non-flowing waste that is used for treatment or storage.

  • EPA Hazardous Substance Superfund means the Hazardous Substance Superfund established by the Internal Revenue Code, 26 U.S.C. § 9507.

  • Biological safety cabinet means a containment unit suitable for the preparation of low to moderate risk agents where there is a need for protection of the product, personnel, and environment, according to National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Standard 49.

  • In-situ conservation means the conservation of ecosystems and natural habitats and the maintenance and recovery of viable populations of species in their natural surroundings and, in the case of domesticated or cultivated species, in the surroundings where they have developed their distinctive properties.

  • Rodenticide means any substance or mixture of substances intended to prevent, destroy, repel, or mitigate rodents or any other vertebrate animal which the director of the state department of agriculture may declare by regulation to be a pest.

  • Solid Waste Disposal Site means, as defined in NCGS 130A-290(a)(36), any place at which solid wastes are disposed of by incineration, sanitary landfill, or any other method.

  • Cathodic protection tester means a person who can demonstrate an understanding of the principles and measurements of all common types of cathodic protection systems as applied to buried or submerged metal piping and tank systems. At a minimum, such persons must have education and experience in soil resistivity, stray current, structure-to-soil potential, and component electrical isolation measurements of buried metal piping and tank systems.

  • Waste Disposal Site means a Waste Disposal Site which is not a Hauled Sewage Disposal Site, a Sewage Works or a Waste Stabilization Pond; and

  • Safe Drinking Water Act means Tit. XIV of the federal Public Health Service Act, commonly known as the “Safe Drinking Water Act”, 42 U.S.C. §300f et seq., as amended by the Safe Drinking Water Amendments of 1996, Pub. L. No. 104-182, as amended.
