Leadership Contestant definition

Leadership Contestant means a contestant for the leadership of the Party;
Leadership Contestant means a leadership contestant as defined in subsection 2(1) of the Canada Elections Act or a contestant for the leadership of a political party that is registered under provincial law.
Leadership Contestant means an individual who is campaigning to become the leader of a registered party;

Examples of Leadership Contestant in a sentence

  • A Notice of Intention to Stand is not complete unless it includes the printed name, address and telephone number(s), and signature of the delegate candidate and an irrevocable declaration of support for one Leadership Contestant or that he or she wishes to stand for election as an “undeclared” delegate.

  • If the revised documents continue to not meet all requirements of this Bylaw and the National Constitution, then the Chief Electoral Officer must notify that prospective leadership contestant in writing that they are not accepted as a Leadership Contestant and the reasons for that lack of acceptance.
