Leading Firefighter definition

Leading Firefighter is a classification available to Firefighters who possess the relevant Station Officer qualifications and are awaiting promotion to Station Officer. There will be a limit of one hundred (100) employees across QFES progressing to this classification at any one time, with positions allocated on a region-by-region basis.
Leading Firefighter means a Qualified Firefighter who has completed all Firefighter Levels 1, 2 and 3 modules, all Leading Firefighter qualifications and assessment.
Leading Firefighter means an employee who has had a minimum of 48 months career firefighting service with the MFESB, has completed all MFESB Firefighter Levels 1, 2 and 3 modules, all MFESB Qualified Firefighter modules and has been a Qualified Firefighter (or a Qualified Firefighter with leading Firefighter Qualifications) with the MFESB.

  • Applications for Leading Firefighter Program positions shall be called for from eligible applicants in Commissioner’s Orders, with the closing date for applications to follow four weeks thereafter.

  • The appointment and advancement of these persons, up to and including the level of Leading Firefighter [classification 3(e)], is to occur depending on the level of competency and experience in each individual case.

  • Advancement to Leading Firefighter [classification 3(e)] is to be made from First Class Firefighter or Senior Firefighter after the successful achievement of competencies established by the Tasmania Fire Service.

  • An eligible applicant for the purposes of subclauses 13.7.1 and 13.7.3 shall be a Senior Firefighter who: firstly, has completed at least twenty four (24) months service with Fire and Rescue NSW at Senior Firefighter rank as of the closing date for applications; secondly, has already taken the tests referred in subclause 13.7.3; and thirdly, is permanently attached to a station within the Transfer Register area in which the Leading Firefighter Program position is available.

  • The hourly rate of pay for an employee in the classification of Firefighter, Qualified Firefighter, Senior Firefighter, Leading Firefighter, Station Officer, Leading Station Officer, Inspector, Operational Support Level 1, Operational Support Level 2 or Operational Support Inspector shall be ascertained for the purpose of this clause by dividing the employee’s “Per Week” rate of pay by 41.75.

  • The number and location of Leading Firefighter Program positions available shall be specified in the same Commissioner’s Orders, and shall be solely dependent on the staffing needs of the Department.


More Definitions of Leading Firefighter

Leading Firefighter means a qualified fire-fighter who has had a minimum of 48 months fire fighting as a paid Firefighter within the fire and rescue industry and has completed all Firefighter Level 1, Qualified Firefighter, and Leading Firefighter modules and assessment, has been eligible to be a Qualified Firefighter with leading Firefighter Qualifications and has been appointed by TSL to Leading Firefighter outlined in Appendix A of this Agreement.

  • Firefighter means any regular, paid or volunteer, member of a lawfully constituted fire department of a municipal corporation, township, fire district, or village.

  • Volunteer firefighter means a firefighter whose position normally requires less than 600

  • Fire fighter means any person employed by the state or any political subdivision as a member or officer of a fire depart- ment or a member of a volunteer department, including the state fire marshal and deputies.

  • Selling Firm has the meaning given to it in Section 2(1);

  • Selling Firms has the meaning specified in section 5.1;

  • LBD means any day on which commercial banks are open for general business (including dealing in foreign exchange and foreign currency deposits) in London;

  • sponsoring firm means the firm registered in a jurisdiction of Canada on whose behalf an individual acts as a dealer, an underwriter, an adviser, a chief compliance officer or an ultimate designated person;

  • Integrated Digital Loop Carrier means a subscriber loop carrier system that is twenty-four (24) local Loop transmission paths combined into a 1.544 Mbps digital signal which integrates within the switch at a DS1 level.

  • Spectrum Compatibility means the capability of two (2) copper loop transmission system technologies to coexist in the same cable without service degradation and to operate satisfactorily in the presence of cross talk noise from each other. Spectrum compatibility is defined on a per twisted pair basis for specific well-defined transmission systems. For the purposes of issues regarding Spectrum Compatibility, service degradation means the failure to meet the Bit Error Ratio (BER) and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) margin requirements defined for the specific transmission system for all Loop lengths, model Loops, or loss values within the requirements for the specific transmission system.

  • Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN means a switched network service that provides end-to-end digital connectivity for the simultaneous transmission of voice and data. Basic Rate Interface-ISDN (BRI-ISDN) provides for a digital transmission of two (2) 64 Kbps bearer channels and one (1) 16 Kbps data channel (2B+D).

  • MHRD means “Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.”

  • Cloud BPO Support means the then-current technical support services SAP provides to Provider for the SAP Cloud Services as described in the Cloud BPO Schedule.

  • Interconnection Studies means the Interconnection Feasibility Study, the System Impact Study, and the Facilities Study described in Tariff, Part IV and Tariff, Part VI. Interface Pricing Point:

  • Generating Market Buyer means an Internal Market Buyer that is a Load Serving Entity that owns or has contractual rights to the output of generation resources capable of serving the Market Buyer’s load in the PJM Region, or of selling energy or related services in the PJM Interchange Energy Market or elsewhere. Generation Capacity Resource:

  • Provisional Interconnection Service means interconnection service provided by Transmission Provider associated with interconnecting the Interconnection Customer’s Generating Facility to Transmission Provider’s Transmission System and enabling that Transmission System to receive electric energy and capacity from the Generating Facility at the Point of Interconnection, pursuant to the terms of the Interconnection Service Agreement and, if applicable, the Tariff.

  • Buyers has the meaning set forth in the preamble.

  • Interconnection Study means any of the studies defined in the CAISO Tariff or, if applicable, any distribution provider’s tariff that reflect the methodology and costs to interconnect the Project to the Participating Transmission Owner’s electric grid.

  • Interconnector means equipment used to link the electricity system of the State to electricity systems outside of the State;

  • Beam axis means a line from the source through the centers of the x-ray fields.

  • Dark Fiber shall have the meaning set forth in Section 9.7.1.

  • Switch means a switching device employed by a Carrier within the Public Switched Network. Switch includes but is not limited to End Office Switches, Tandem Switches, Access Tandem Switches, Remote Switching Modules, and Packet Switches. Switches may be employed as a combination of End Office/Tandem Switches. "Switched Access Service" means the offering of transmission and switching services to Interexchange Carriers for the purpose of the origination or termination of telephone toll service. Switched Access Services include: Feature Group A, Feature Group B, Feature Group D, 8XX access, and 900 access and their successors or similar Switched Access Services. "Switched Access Traffic" is traffic that originates at one of the Party's End User Customers and terminates at an IXC Point of Presence, or originates at an IXC Point of Presence and terminates at one of the Party's End User Customers, whether or not the traffic transits the other Party's network.

  • Interconnection Service(s means any Interconnection, Resale Services, 251(c)(3) UNEs, Collocation, functions, facilities, products or services offered under this Agreement.
