Letter of Protest definition

Letter of Protest. (or “LOP”) means a written communication intended to convey and record dissatisfaction concerning some matter and holding the recipient responsible for any legal or financial consequences arising out of the subject matter being complained about.
Letter of Protest means a letter from the Buyer or Master of the Vessel handed to the Seller or Supplier on the Date of Delivery pursuant to clause 9.1(b)(ii) disputing the quantity of the Marine Fuel delivered.
Letter of Protest means the formal document issued by the Vessel to register a discrepancy in quality of the Goods or the method by which the Goods have been delivered, at the point and time of delivery.
