This is without prejudice to any ability of the Overview and Scrutiny Committees or equivalent of the Authorities to compel attendance of executive members and officers under Section 21 of the Local Government Act 2000.
Section 483 of the Local Government Act permits the Municipality to, by bylaw, enter into a housing agreement that may include terms and conditions regarding the occupancy of housing units identified in the agreement, including terms and conditions respecting the form of tenure, the availability of housing units to classes of persons, rents and lease, sale or share prices that may be charged, and the rates at which these may be increased over time.
The Owner acknowledges and agrees that this Agreement constitutes both a covenant under Section 219 of the Land Title Act and a housing agreement under Section 483 of the Local Government Act.
