Managed care plan means a health benefit plan that either requires a covered person to use, or creates incentives, including financial incentives, for a covered person to use health care providers managed, owned, under contract with or employed by the health carrier.
Managed care means a system that provides the coordinated delivery of services and supports that are necessary and appropriate, delivered in the least restrictive settings and in the least intrusive manner. Managed care seeks to balance three factors:
Managed care entity means either a managed care organization licensed by the department of insurance (e.g., HMO or PHP) or a primary care case management program (i.e., MediPASS).
HMO means any health maintenance organization, managed care organization, any Person doing business as a health maintenance organization or managed care organization, or any Person required to qualify or be licensed as a health maintenance organization or managed care organization under applicable federal or state law (including, without limitation, HMO Regulations).
Managed care organization means an entity that (1) is under contract with the department to provide services to Medicaid recipients and (2) meets the definition of “health maintenance organization” as defined in Iowa Code section 514B.1.
Direct care worker means a paid caregiver who provides direct, hands-on personal care services to persons with disabilities or the elderly requiring long-term care.
The Contractor/ Vendor means the individual or firm or company undertaking the works and shall include legal personal representative of individual or composing the firm or company and the permitted assignees of individual or firms of company.
Contractor Personnel means Contractor’s employees and subcontractors (as well as any employees or subcontractors of those subcontractors) performing the Services.
Contractor / Vendor means the Tenderer whose bid has been accepted and awarded Letter of Acceptance for a specific item followed by the signing of Contract.

Contractor means the individual or entity, that has entered into this contract with the Commonwealth.
Supplier/Contractor means the individual, firm or company with whom the contract has been concluded for supplying the Goods and Services under the Contract. The Supplier/Contractor shall be deemed to include its successors (approved by the purchaser), representatives, heirs, executors, administrators and permitted;
Health care worker means a person other than a health care professional who provides medical, dental, or other health-related care or treatment under the direction of a health care professional with the authority to direct that individual's activities, including medical technicians, medical assistants, dental assistants, orderlies, aides, and individuals acting in similar capacities.
Primary care physician means a physician qualified to be an attending physician according to ORS 656.005(12)(b)(A) and who is a general practitioner, family practitioner, or internal medicine practitioner.
EPC Contractor means Seller’s engineering, procurement and construction contractor or such Person performing those functions.
Prime Contractor as used in this clause, means a person who has entered into a prime contract with the United States.
Supplier Personnel means Supplier’s employees, consultants, agents, independent contractors and Subcontractors.
MCO means an organization having a certificate of authority or certificate of registration from the 11 Washington State Office of Insurance Commissioner that contracts with HCA under a comprehensive 12 risk contract to provide prepaid health care services to eligible HCA Enrollees under HCA managed 13 care programs.
