Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory definition

Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory means an independent testing firm or Laboratory having experience in performing Quality Control activities as defined herein. This firm shall be included as part of the Proposer’s team during the RFP Phase and shall be hired by the Design- Builder to perform Quality Control sampling and Testing activities for the Project. The Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory shall report to the Construction Inspection Professional Engineering firm.

  • The Professional Engineering Firm performing Construction Inspection and the Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory may be the same company or separate companies, but in either case, the Professional Engineering Firm performing Construction Inspection and the Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory must be independent of the Designer(s), Constructor(s) and any of the Principal Participants or any party with an equity interest, that are included in the Proposer’s proposed team.

  • For construction, the Design-Builder will be required to have, as part of the Design-Build Team, a Professional Engineering Firm to perform Construction Inspection, and a Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory to sample and test materials as specified in the Quality Control Plan and/or as required by the Project specifications.

  • In addition, the Professional Engineering Firm performing Construction Inspection and the Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory shall not be an equity participant on the Design-Build Team.

  • The Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory shall report to and support the Construction Inspection Professional Engineering Firm.

  • Requirements and information to be submitted:Submit Form B (Appendix C), Backlog Information, for each Constructor, Designer, Construction Inspection Professional Engineering Firm, as well as the Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory.

  • In addition, the Independent Construction Inspection Professional Engineering Firm shall have the responsibility to perform sufficient inspections and/or tests of the Design-Builder’s Work to determine that the Work performed by the Design-Builder and the inspections and/or tests performed by the Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory are in compliance with the Contract requirements (See Appendix A).

  • Materials shall be sampled and tested by the Construction QC Inspectors working for the Design- Builder’s Professional Engineering Construction Inspection Firm or Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory in accordance with Appendix B.

  • In addition, the Department’s Construction QA Engineer and staff shall have the authority to perform sufficient inspections and/or tests of the Design-Builder’s Work to either accept or verify that the Work performed by the Design-Builder and the inspections and/or tests performed by the Independent Construction Inspection Professional Engineering Firm and the Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory are in compliance with the Contract requirements (See Appendix A).

  • Failure on the part of a Principal Participant, Constructor, Designer, Construction Inspection Professional Engineering Firm, as well as the Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory to submit and certify a Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire to the Department, or other agency prior to the SOQ Due Date.

  • The Construction Inspection Professional Engineering Firm shall supervise the Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory performing sampling and testing of materials.

Related to Materials Testing Firm or Laboratory

  • Assay means a laboratory analysis of Crude Petroleum to include the following: A.P.I. Gravity, Reid vapor pressure, composition, pour point, water and sediment content, sulfur content, viscosity, distillation, hydrogen sulfide, flash/boiling point and other characteristics as may be required by Carrier.

  • Drug use test means a scientifically substantiated method to test for the presence of illegal or performance-enhancing drugs or the metabolites thereof in a person’s urine.
