Medical Maintenance definition

Medical Maintenance means special clinical protocols that permit extending the amount of consecutive take out medication provided to clients who are involved in medication and methadone maintenance treatment and who qualify through a special exemption from the department for participation under these protocols. Medical maintenance may be either partial (13 consecutive take-outs) or full (27 consecutive take-outs).
