Mercantile (Commercial) Buildings means any building or part of a building, which is used as shops, stores, market, malls for display and sale of merchandise either wholesale or retail Office, storage and service facilities incidental to the sale of merchandise and located in the same building shall be included under this group; 2.77.8 “Public-Semi-public Building” means a building constructed or used by Government, Semi Government Organization, Government Undertaking, Local Authorities, for conducting public semi-public use like municipal office, post office, telephone office, etc.; 2.77.9 “Wholesale Establishments” means an establishments wholly or partly engaged in wholesale trade, manufactures, wholesale outlets including related storage facilities, A.P.M.C. establishments, warehouses and establishments engaged in truck transport including truck transport booking agencies; 2.77.10 “Industrial Buildings” means any building or part of a building or structure, in which products or materials of all kinds and properties are fabricated, assembled or processed like assembling plants, laboratories, power plants, smoke houses, refineries, gas plants, mills, dairies, factories etc.; 2.77.11 “Storage Buildings” means any building or part of a building used primarily for the storage or sheltering of goods, wares or merchandise, like ware houses, cold storage, freight depots, transit sheds, godowns, store houses, public garages, hangars, truck terminals, grain elevators, barns and stables; 2.77.12 “Hazardous Buildings” means any building or: part of a building which is used for the storage, handling, manufacture or processing of highly combustible or explosive materials or products which are liable to burn with extreme rapidity and / or which may produce poisonous gases or explosions during storage, handling, manufacturing or processing, which involve highly corrosive, toxic or noxious alkalis, acids or other liquids or chemicals producing flames, fumes and explosive, mixtures of dust or which result in the division of matter into fine particles subject to spontaneous ignition; 2.77.13 “Special Buildings” means(i) multi-storied buildings for any user having height more than 24 meter in height measured from ground; or,(ii) buildings for the purposes of educational, assembly, mercantile, institutional, public and semi-public, industrial, storage and for hazardous material, buildings having built-up area more than 500 sq. m on each any floor, irrespective of the height of the building; or,(iii) multi-...

  • Historic building means a building, including its structural components, that is located in this state and that is either individually listed on the national register of historic places under 16 U.S.C. 470a, located in a registered historic district, and certified by the state historic preservation officer as being of historic significance to the district, or is individually listed as an historic landmark designated by a local government certified under 16 U.S.C. 470a(c).

  • Building means any structure used or intended for supporting or sheltering any use or occupancy.

  • Heritage Building means a Building designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18, or any successor legislation, or a Building designated under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act,R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18, or any successor legislation, which has been identified as a significant heritage resource in a conservation district plan and any Building listed in the Markham Register of Property of Cultural Heritage Value of Interest;

  • Public building and "public work" means a public building of, and a public work of, a governmental entity (the United States; the District of Columbia; commonwealths, territories, and minor outlying islands of the United States; State and local governments; and multi-State, regional, or interstate entities which have governmental functions). These buildings and works may include, without limitation, bridges, dams, plants, highways, parkways, streets, subways, tunnels, sewers, mains, power lines, pumping stations, heavy generators, railways, airports, terminals, docks, piers, wharves, ways, lighthouses, buoys, jetties, breakwaters, levees, and canals, and the construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of such buildings and works.

  • Covered Municipal Building means a building or facility that is owned or occupied by the Village that is 1,000 square feet or larger in size.

  • Industrial furnace means any of the following enclosed devices that are integral components of manufacturing processes and that use thermal treatment to accomplish recovery of materials or energy:

  • Resort Complex means the hotel, convention centre/theatre restaurant, exhibition centre, recreation and other facilities and the Burswood Casino established or to be established on the Site pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement and includes, if and when constructed, Stage 2 but does not include, on and from the date specified in an order made under section 21F(1b) of the Control Act, any of the foregoing which are by the order excluded from the operation of this Agreement;

  • Utility Services means physical plant including but not limited to pipes, valves, conduits, cables, terminals, transformers, etc. owned and operated by communications, television, hydro, gas and oil companies or any other utility companies.
