Motor contract carrier of property definition

Motor contract carrier of property means any person providing motor vehicle transportation upon the highways of this state for a series of shipments under continuing agreement of not less than 1 year with a person which agreement provides for the assignment of motor vehicles exclusively for each such person while the vehicle is in the service of such person and which agreement is designed to meet the distinct needs of each such person. Lower rates, in and of themselves, shall not constitute a distinct need. A motor contract carrier that possesses a motor common carrier certificate of authority of that class set forth at section 5(6)(a) of article II may commingle authorized contract carrier shipments while providing common carrier service over fixed routes, without assigning any vehicle exclusively for the person or persons for whom contract service is

A motor contract carrier authorized to transport packages or articles weighing 70 pounds or less for 1 or more contract shippers may commingle such authorized packages or articles weighing 70 pounds or less in the same vehicle with commodities transported as a common or contract carrier, without assigning any vehicle exclusively for the person or persons for whom contract service is provided. A motor contract carrier authorized to transport coin, currency, or food stamps for 1 or more contract shippers, may commingle such authorized coin, currency, or food stamps in the same vehicle with commodities transported as a common or a contract carrier, without assigning any vehicle exclusively for the person for whom contract service is provided.

  • Contract carrier means any person who, under special and individual contracts or agreements, and

  • Rental Equipment means the equipment identified on the Service Agreement and Order Schedule or otherwise notified to you in writing that we will rent to you as part of our provision of the Services and which you will return to us after expiry or termination of the Agreement, subject to the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Transportation equipment means 1 or more of the following:

  • Qualified machinery and equipment means all new industrial

  • Collection site means the location of waste containers on collection day.

  • Machinery and equipment shall have the meaning specified in Section 1.1(c).

  • School equipment means a durable school-owned machine, equipment, or tool used by a student as part of an activity, course, or program in a secondary school and includes a saw or 3D printer. “School equipment” includes a saw or 3D printer.

  • Transport vehicle means a motor vehicle or rail car used for the transportation of cargo by any mode. Each cargo-carrying body (trailer, railroad freight car, etc.) is a separate transport vehicle.

  • Health-care-insurance receivable means an interest in or claim under a policy of insurance which is a right to payment of a monetary obligation for health-care goods or services provided.

  • Bulk plant means a motor fuel storage and distribution facility that is not a terminal and from

  • Distribution center means a building or structure used primarily for the storage of goods which are intended for subsequent shipment to retail outlets. Distribution center does not mean a building or structure used primarily to store raw agricultural products, used primarily by a manufacturer to store goods to be used in the manufacturing process, used primarily for the storage of petroleum products, or used for the retail sale of goods.

  • Medical equipment means equipment used in a patient care environment to support patient treatment and diagnosis.

  • At-home recovery visit means the period of a visit required to provide at home recovery care, without limit on the duration of the visit, except each consecutive four (4) hours in a twenty-four-hour period of services provided by a care provider is one visit.

  • Bulk gasoline plant means a gasoline storage and distribution facility with an average daily throughput of 20,000 gallons (76,000 liters) of gasoline or less on a 30-day rolling average.

  • Motor vehicle fuel means any petroleum distillate having a Reid vapor pressure of more than four (4) pounds per square inch and that is used to power motor vehicles. Diesel fuel and kerosene are not considered to be motor vehicle fuels.
