Nonprofit conservation organization means a nonprofit corporation, a charitable trust or other nonprofit association whose purposes includes the acquisition or management of property for conservation purposes including the control of aquatic invasive species and that is described in section 501 (c) (3) of the internal revenue code and is exempt from federal income tax under section 501 (a) of the internal revenue code.
