Independent Qualified Party means an investment banking firm, accounting firm or appraisal firm of national standing; provided, however, that such firm is not an Affiliate of the Company.
Qualified nonprofit organization means, with respect to a Project, an organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c) (3) or (4) of the Internal Revenue Code, which is not and during the Compliance Period will not be affiliated with or controlled by a for-profit organization, whose exempt purposes include the fostering of low income housing, which owns an interest in the Project, which will materially participate in the development and operation of the Project throughout the Compliance Period, and which is not affiliated with or controlled by a for-profit organization.
Qualified means that a person holds a certificate, permit or other document equivalent to that which staff in a public school are required to hold to provide special education and designated instruction and services and has met federal and state certification, licensing, registration, or other comparable requirements which apply to the area in which he or she is providing special education or related services, including those requirements set forth in Title 34 of the Code of Federal Regulations sections 200.56 and 200.58, and those requirements set forth in Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations Sections 3064 and 3065, and adheres to the standards of professional practice established in federal and state law or regulation, including the standards contained in the California Business and Professions Code. Nothing in this definition shall be construed as restricting the activities in services of a graduate needing direct hours leading to licensure, or of a student teacher or intern leading to a graduate degree at an accredited or approved college or university, as authorized by state laws or regulations. Qualified GIC A guaranteed investment contract or surety bond providing for the investment of funds in the Custodial Account and insuring a minimum, fixed or floating rate of return on investments of such funds, which contract or surety bond shall:
pre-qualification means a screening process designed to ensure that invitations to bid are confined to capable providers;
Qualified Person means one who, by possession of a recognized degree, certificate, or professional standing, or who by extensive knowledge, training and experience, has successfully demonstrated his ability to solve or resolve problems relating to the subject matter, the work, or the project.
Applicant’s Qualified Investment means the Qualified Investment of the Applicant during the Qualifying Time Period and as more fully described in EXHIBIT 3 of this Agreement.
Qualified alien means an alien who is:
Qualified Nurse means a person who holds a valid registration from the Nursing Council of India or the Nursing Council of any state in India.
Non-Qualified Stock Option means any Stock Option that is not an Incentive Stock Option.
Legally Qualified Physician means a physician or a Christian Science Practitioner (a) other than an Insured, a Traveling Companion or a Family Member: (b) practicing within the scope of his or her license: and (c) recognized as a physician in the place where the services are rendered.
New Non-Qualifying Jobs means the number of Non-Qualifying Jobs, as defined in 34 TEXAS ADMIN. CODE Section 9.1051(14), to be created by the Applicant after the Application Approval Date in connection with the project which is the subject of its Application.
Disqualified Partnership Any domestic entity classified as a partnership under the Code if any of its direct or indirect beneficial owners (other than through a U.S. corporation) are (or, under the applicable partnership agreement, are permitted to be) Disqualified Non-United States Tax Persons.
Disqualified Non-U.S. Person With respect to a Class R Certificate, any Non-U.S. Person or agent thereof other than (i) a Non-U.S. Person that holds such Class R Certificate in connection with the conduct of a trade or business within the United States and has furnished the transferor and the Certificate Administrator with an effective IRS Form W-8ECI or other prescribed form or (ii) a Non-U.S. Person that has delivered to both the transferor and the Certificate Administrator an Opinion of Counsel of a nationally recognized tax counsel to the effect that the transfer of such Class R Certificate to it is in accordance with the requirements of the Code and the regulations promulgated thereunder and that such transfer of such Class R Certificate will not be disregarded for federal income tax purposes under Treasury Regulations Section 1.860G-3.
Non-Qualified Share Option means an Option that is not intended to be an Incentive Share Option.
Minimum Qualifications means the requirements of education, training, experience and other basic qualifications for a job.
Qualified Foreign Entity means a corporation, trust, association or partnership organized outside the
New Qualifying Jobs means the total number of jobs to be created by the Applicant after the Application Approval Date in connection with the project that is the subject of its Application that meet the criteria of Qualifying Job as defined in Section 313.021(3) of the TEXAS TAX CODE and the Comptroller’s Rules.
Impermissible Qualification means, relative to the opinion or certification of any independent public accountant as to any financial statement of the Borrower, any qualification or exception to such opinion or certification:
Data qualifier means a specified character (or string of characters) that immediately precedes a data field that defines the general category or intended use of the data that follows.
UK Retail Investor means a person who is one (or more) of the following:
Monthly Qualification Cycle means a period beginning one (1) Business Day prior to the first day of the current Statement Cycle through one (1) Business Day prior to the close of the current Statement Cycle.
Applicant’s Qualified Property means the Qualified Property of the Applicant to which the value limitation identified in the Agreement will apply and as more fully described in EXHIBIT 4 of this Agreement.
