NS Transmission System definition

NS Transmission System means the bulk energy transmission system in NS;
NS Transmission System means the 138 kV, 230 kV and 345 kV transmission facilities located in NS;
NS Transmission System means, on and after the Commercial Operations Date, the 138kV, 230 kV and 345 kV transmission facilities located in NS, together with, on and after the Commercial Operation Date, that portion of the Maritime Link on the NS side of the Interconnection Point;

  • In order to maintain transmission voltages within acceptable limits on the Maritime Link and its interconnections with the NL Transmission System and the NS Transmission System, the production or absorption of reactive power may be required (“Reactive Supply and Voltage Control”) in relation to the Scheduling of Energy and Capacity in accordance with this Agreement.

  • The NL Transmission System and the NS Transmission System, by virtue of being connected to each other, will share Mutual Benefits.

  • The Parties agree to use commercially reasonable efforts to share the Reserve Responsibility for the NL Transmission System and the NS Transmission System.

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing: (i) the Reliability Standards for the NS Transmission System shall apply to the Interconnection Facilities; and (ii) each owner of generation and transmission resources shall continue to be otherwise responsible for the operation and maintenance of its own facilities.

  • If the Applicable Supplemental Term Tariff Charges payable by Nalcor pursuant to Section 2.3(b)(viii) increase as a result of the addition to the NS Transmission System of an Upgrade constructed pursuant to this Agreement, then the total Upgrade Charge payable by Nalcor in respect of such Upgrade shall be reduced by an amount that is equal to the incremental Applicable Supplemental Term Tariff Charges resulting from such Upgrade.

  • For each month, a reconciliation shall be performed to address any difference between (i) the Energy that has been contributed by Nalcor to the NS Transmission System to account for Transmission Losses, as calculated in accordance with Section 3.0, and (ii) Nalcor’s actual proportionate share of the measured transmission losses on the NS-NTQ Path.

  • On or before June 1st of each year, applications and/or reapplications for mooring permits must be submitted to the Harbormaster.

Related to NS Transmission System

  • Transmission System means the facilities controlled or operated by the Transmission Provider within the PJM Region that are used to provide transmission service under Tariff, Part II and Part III. Transmission Withdrawal Rights:

  • Intra-State Transmission System means any system for transmission of electricity other than an Inter-State Transmission System;

  • Transmission System Operator means a natural or legal person responsible for operating, ensuring the maintenance of and, if necessary, developing the transmission system in a given area and, where applicable, its interconnections with other systems, and for ensuring the long-term ability of the system to meet reasonable demands for the transmission of electricity;

  • Transmission System Code means the code, approved by the Board, that is in force at the relevant time, which regulates the financial and information obligations of the Transmitter with respect to its relationship with customers, as well as establishing the standards for connection of customers to, and expansion of a transmission system;

  • telecommunication system means any system (including the apparatus comprised in it) which exists (whether wholly or partly in Jersey or elsewhere) for the purpose of facilitating the transmission of communications by any means involving the use of electrical or electro- magnetic energy;

  • Network Transmission Service means transmission service provided pursuant to the rates, terms and conditions set forth in Tariff, Part III, or transmission service comparable to such service that is provided to a Load Serving Entity that is also a Transmission Owner.

  • Transmission Services the services provided by the Transmission Provider(s) to the Distributor;

  • Transmission Service means Point-To-Point Transmission Service provided under Tariff, Part II on a firm and non-firm basis.

  • Merchant Transmission Facilities means A.C. or D.C. transmission facilities that are interconnected with or added to the Transmission System pursuant to Tariff, Part IV and Tariff, Part VI and that are so identified in Tariff, Attachment T, provided, however, that Merchant Transmission Facilities shall not include (i) any Customer Interconnection Facilities, (ii) any physical facilities of the Transmission System that were in existence on or before March 20, 2003 ; (iii) any expansions or enhancements of the Transmission System that are not identified as Merchant Transmission Facilities in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan and Tariff, Attachment T, or (iv) any transmission facilities that are included in the rate base of a public utility and on which a regulated return is earned. Merchant Transmission Provider:

  • Network Integration Transmission Service means the transmission service provided under Tariff, Part III.

  • Transmission and distribution system means, with respect to an

  • Transmission pipeline means any high pressure transmission pipeline connected to, but excluding the Maui Pipeline, that is used for the open access transportation of Gas, and includes all items of plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings directly appurtenanced to that pipeline, but excluding any item which is controlled by a party other than that pipeline’s TP Welded Party and any low pressure distribution system.

  • Transmission Facilities shall have the meaning set forth in the Operating Agreement. Transmission Injection Rights:

  • Renewable energy system means a fixture, product, device, or interacting group of fixtures, products, or devices on the customer's side of the meter that use 1 or more renewable energy resources to generate electricity. Renewable energy system includes a biomass stove but does not include an incinerator or digester.

  • Transmission Interconnection Customer means an entity that submits an Interconnection Request to interconnect or add Merchant Transmission Facilities to the Transmission System or to increase the capacity of Merchant Transmission Facilities interconnected with the Transmission System in the PJM Region or an entity that submits an Upgrade Request for Merchant Network Upgrades (including accelerating the construction of any transmission enhancement or expansion, other than Merchant Transmission Facilities, that is included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan prepared pursuant to Operating Agreement, Schedule 6).

  • Transmission links are the means used for inter-connecting distributed units for the purpose of conveying signals, operating data or an energy supply. This equipment is generally electrical but may, in some part, be mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic.

  • Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities means all Interconnection Facilities that are not Customer Interconnection Facilities and that, after the transfer under Tariff, Attachment P, Appendix 2, section 5.5 to the Interconnected Transmission Owner of title to any Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities that the Interconnection Customer constructed, are owned, controlled, operated and maintained by the Interconnected Transmission Owner on the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s side of the Point of Interconnection identified in appendices to the Interconnection Service Agreement and to the Interconnection Construction Service Agreement, including any modifications, additions or upgrades made to such facilities and equipment, that are necessary to physically and electrically interconnect the Customer Facility with the Transmission System or interconnected distribution facilities. Transmission Provider: The “Transmission Provider” shall be the Office of the Interconnection for all purposes, provided that the Transmission Owners will have the responsibility for the following specified activities:

  • CTU or Central Transmission Utility means the Central Transmission Utility as defined in Sub-Section (10) of section (2) of the EA-2003.

  • Leak-detection system means a system capable of detecting the failure of either the primary or secondary containment structure or the presence of a release of hazardous waste or accumulated liquid in the secondary containment structure. Such a system must employ operational controls (e.g., daily visual inspections for releases into the secondary containment system of aboveground tanks) or consist of an interstitial monitoring device designed to detect continuously and automatically the failure of the primary or secondary containment structure or the presence of a release of hazardous waste into the secondary containment structure.

  • Transmission Facility means a facility for transmitting electricity, and includes any structures, equipment or other facilities used for that purpose as defined in the Parties respective XXXXx.

  • Production System means a live SAP system used for running Licensee’s internal business operations and where Licensee’s data is recorded.

  • Cable television system means any facility consisting of a set of closed transmission paths and associated equipment designed to provide video programming to multiple subscribers when subscriber interaction is required to select a specific video program for an access fee established by the cable television system for that specific video program.

  • Interregional Transmission Project means transmission facilities that would be located within two or more neighboring transmission planning regions and are determined by each of those regions to be a more efficient or cost effective solution to regional transmission needs.

  • Transmission Owner Attachment Facilities means that portion of the Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities comprised of all Attachment Facilities on the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s side of the Point of Interconnection. Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities:

  • Transmission Service Agreement or “TSA” shall mean the agreement entered into between Long Term Transmission Customer(s) and the TSP pursuant to which TSP shall build, own, operate and maintain the Project and make available the assets of the Project to Long Term Transmission Customer(s) on a commercial basis;

  • Central Transmission Utility means the Government Company notified by the Central Government under Sub-Section (1) of Section 38 of the Electricity Act, 2003.
