Orientation Week definition

Orientation Week means the program of activities and presentations, provided to Students who are new to the College prior to their commencement as residents.
Orientation Week means a week prescribed by the University as a week for induction of new students;
Orientation Week or "Orientation" means the week prior to the first day of the Undergraduate Arts Faculty Fall session, or any other such week that the University has designated as a time for Welcoming incoming First Year Students

Examples of Orientation Week in a sentence

  • In each academic year, there are six residential sessions: an Orientation Week and five RWEs. A generic RWE timetable is found in Appendix 6.

  • Students are required to attend the Orientation Week and RWEs and to make such attendance their highest priority during their period of formation.

  • Orientation means any introductory instruction into a new practice environment or employment situation where being a nurse is a requirement of employment or where the individual uses any title or abbreviation indicating that the individual is a nurse. Orientation is considered the practice of nursing in this State.

  • New employee orientation means the onboarding process of a newly hired public employee, whether in person, online, or through other means or mediums, in which employees are advised of their employment status, rights, benefits, duties and responsibilities, or any other employment-related matters.

  • Work week means a seven (7) consecutive day week that consistently begins and ends on the same days throughout the year; i.e. Sunday through Saturday, Wednesday through Tuesday, Friday through Thursday.

  • Sexual orientation means actual or perceived heterosexuality, homosexuality or bisexuality.

  • Training hour means at least 50 minutes of actual learning, including, but not limited to, time devoted to lecture, learning activities, small group activities, demonstrations, evaluations, and hands-on experience.

  • Barrier Level means the Barrier Level as specified in § 1 of the Product and Underlying Data.

  • Screening means the evaluation process used to identify an individual's ability to perform activities of daily living and address health and safety concerns.

  • On-the-job training means training that is provided by an employer during the routine performance of a job.

  • traditional leader means the leader of a traditional authority that had been identified by the MEC in terms of section 81 (2) of the Local Government: Municipal Structures Act to participate in the proceedings of the council.

  • New jobs training program or “program” means the project or projects established by a community college for the creation of jobs by providing education and training of workers for new jobs for new or expanding industry in the merged area served by the community college.
