Paints and varnishes definition

Paints and varnishes means products listed in the subcategories below, excluding aerosols. They are coatings applied to buildings, their trim and fitting, and associated structures for decorative, functional and protective purpose:

  • Paints and varnishes are strictly prohibited if classified as inflammable (nitrocellulosic or glycerophthalic, for example).

  • Paints and varnishes submitted shall match as to color with the original approved samples and the materials in final application shall conform to the original samples.

  • Painter means an employee who applies paint or any other preparation used for preservative or decorative purposes -

  • Decorative pole means a streetlight pole specially designed and placed for aesthetic purposes and on which no appurtenances or attachments, other than specially designed informational or directional signage or temporary holiday or special event attachments, have been placed or are permitted to be placed according to nondiscriminatory municipal codes.

  • Erection, construction, remodeling, repairing means all types of work done on a particular building or work at the site thereof in the construction or development of the project, including without limitation, erecting, construction, remodeling, repairing, altering, painting, and decorating, the transporting of materials and supplies to or from the building or work done by the employees of the Contractor, Subcontractor, or Agent thereof, and the manufacturing or furnishing of

  • Extremely low-income household means a single person,

  • Furniture coating means any paint designed for application to room furnishings including, but not limited to, cabinets (kitchen, bath and vanity), tables, chairs, beds, and sofas.

  • Interior means the spaces, parts, components or elements of an individual dwelling unit.

  • Glass means Internal Glass, External Glass and Specified Glass.

  • Fixtures and Fittings means all the Landlord’s furniture, furnishings, sanitary ware, decorative features, white goods, other equipment or any floor, ceiling or wall coverings and include anything listed in any Inventory and Schedule of Condition supplied.

  • Recyclables means Solid Waste that may be reclaimed and/or processed and used in the production of raw materials or products.

  • Ashes means so much of the remains of a dead body after the due processes of cremation as may be contained in a standard sized cremation urn;

  • Furniture means articles of which wood, reeds, rattan, cane, seagrass or metal comprise the whole or part and such as are usually made or assembled by cabinet makers, assemblers in the furnishing trades, chair and couch makers, upholsterers, wood carvers, or wood turners; and

  • Fixtures and Equipment means, with respect to any Person, all of the furniture, fixtures, furnishings, machinery and equipment owned or leased by such Person and located in, at or upon the Assets of such Person.

  • Personal Property means any machinery, equipment, tools, vehicles, furniture, leasehold improvements, office equipment, plant, parts and other tangible personal property.

  • Painting has the meaning set forth in Section 1.6(a).

  • Fixtures means those leasehold improvements, additions, alterations and installations constituting all or a part of Bank Premises and which were acquired, added, built, installed or purchased at the expense of the Failed Bank, regardless of the holder of legal title thereto as of Bank Closing.

  • Landscape waste means any vegetable or plant waste except garbage. The term includes trees, tree trimmings, branches, stumps, brush, weeds, leaves, grass, shrubbery, and yard trimmings.

  • Cleaning means the act of removing septage or other wastes from a wastewater treatment system component or grease/waste from a grease interceptor.

  • Membrane filtration means a pressure or vacuum driven separation process in which particulate matter larger than one micrometer is rejected by an engineered barrier, primarily through a size exclusion mechanism, and which has a measurable removal efficiency of a target organism that can be verified through the application of a direct integrity test. This definition includes the common membrane technologies of microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis.

  • Inherent filtration means the filtration of the useful beam provided by the permanently installed components of the tube housing assembly.

  • Basecoat means a coat of colored material, usually opaque, that is applied before graining inks, glazing coats, or other opaque finishing materials and is usually topcoated for protection.

  • Landscape means an area, as perceived by people, whose character is the result of the action and interaction of natural and/or human factors;

  • Plate means the license plate, including renewal decals, if any, issued for a vehicle registered under the plan by the base jurisdiction.

  • Plant and Equipment means permanent plant, equipment, machinery, apparatus, articles and things of all kinds to be provided and incorporated in the Facilities by the Contractor under the Contract (including the spare parts to be supplied by the Contractor under GCC Sub-Clause 3.3 hereof), but does not include Contractor’s Equipment.

  • Repair means to restore to proper operating condition a tank, pipe, spill prevention equipment, overfill prevention equipment, corrosion protection equipment, release detection equipment or other UST system component that has caused a release of product from the UST system or has failed to function properly.
