PM2.5 emissions definition

PM2.5 emissions means PM2.5 emitted to the ambient air as measured by an applicable reference method, or an equivalent or alternate method, specified in 40 C.F.R. Part 51, Appendix M as of the effective date of the federal final rule published by EPA in the Federal Register on April 2, 2014 (79 FR 18452), or by a test method specified in these regulations or any supplement thereto.
PM2.5 emissions means finely divided solid or liquid material, including condensable particulate matter, with an aerodynamic diameter less than or equal to a nominal 2.5 micrometers emitted to the ambient air as measured by an applicable reference method, or an equivalent or alternate method, specified in Appendix M of 40 CFR Part 51 or by a test method specified in the SIP.
PM2.5 emissions means the PM with an aerodynamic diameter of approximately 2.5 µm or less.
