Practicum Students definition

Practicum Students means those students of the Institution who are selected by the Institution to participate in the Practice Education.
Practicum Students means any individual who engages in Division related activities and who has direct contact with Division employees and/or students within the role of:
Practicum Students are those students enrolled in the Program at University who are enrolled in a practicum class. Practicum Students are required to complete nine (9) quarter units of practicum experience and a minimum of ten (10) months of supervised experience (the “Practicum”).

  • The Agency will have no liability or responsibility for the withholding, collection or payment of income taxes, employment insurance, statutory or other taxes or payments of any nature on behalf of, or for the benefit of, the Institution, Institution Staff or the Practicum Students.

  • The Institution agrees that the Institution Staff and Practicum Students are not, by virtue of their involvement or participation in the Practice Education, employees of the Agency, nor are they entitled to employment benefits of any kind whatsoever from the Agency, including but not limited to statutory programs and disability, life or other insurance coverage.

  • The Institution shall obtain all necessary consents from Practicum Students and Institution Staff, including under the Personal Information Protection Act or the FOIPPA, as applicable, to permit such disclosures.

  • Teacher Candidates, Practicum Students, and Participants will be advised that they are required to conform to standards of professional decorum that are consistent with prevailing standards in the school community and the education profession as a condition of the placement and its continuation.

  • It is agreed that Practicum Students and/or Volunteers do not accrue seniority and if hired, they will start as a new hired employee.

  • Practicum Students are not considered Employees of the Employer and as such are not within the scope of the collective agreement.

  • The University shall, with respect to conduct of Teacher Candidates, Practicum Students, and Participants, be represented by a University Supervisor, or Special Area Supervisor, or Course Instructor.

  • Practicum Students who intend to do practical or industrial attachment, or internship will be given a letter of recommendation by World Class Education as proof of study in their respective programs.

Practicum Students are volunteer students utilized by the Employer, from time to time, to carry out varied duties and responsibilities primarily for the benefit of the student. Such practicum students will not engage in any bargaining unit work except under the direct supervision of a teacher, fill any vacant positions or backfill for employees on vacation, layoff or leave.

  • Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.

  • Objective medical evidence means reports of examinations or treatments; medical signs which are anatomical, physiological, or psychological abnormalities that can be observed; psychiatric signs which are medically demonstrable phenomena indicating specific abnormalities of behavior, affect, thought, memory, orientation, or contact with reality; or laboratory findings which are anatomical, physiological, or psychological phenomena that can be shown by medically acceptable laboratory diagnostic techniques, including but not limited to chemical tests, electrocardiograms, electroencephalograms, X-rays, and psychological tests;

  • Participating Clinical Laboratory means a Clinical Laboratory which has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
