Prescribed RRIF definition

Prescribed RRIF means a RRIF which meets the requirements for a "prescribed RRIF" under the Pension Rules;
Prescribed RRIF. Means a personal retirement income fund as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada) that is also subject to certain rules set out in Manitoba’s Pension Benefits Act and Regulations. Funds in a prescribed RRIF are not locked in. Means the unlocking of up to 50 percent of the balance of a member’s pension plan or member-owner’s LIF or LRIF and a one-time transfer of that balance to a prescribed Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF).

Examples of Prescribed RRIF in a sentence

  • Funds may be transferred into this Prescribed RRIF only from another Prescribed RRIF, or as a One-Time Transfer provided that such transfer is subject to all applicable requirements in the Tax Act for transfers into RRIFs.

  • No transfer will be permitted into this Prescribed RRIF unless the Annuitant is at least 55 years old.

  • If all or any part of the balance of a Prescribed RRIF is paid out contrary to the Pension Rules, We will provide or ensure the provision to the Annuitant of an amount equal to the amount of the balance paid out.

  • Subject to an agreement or order under The Family Property Act or enforcement proceedings taken by a designated officer, as defined in section 52 of The Family Maintenance Act under Part VI of that Act, the balance of the Prescribed RRIF, i) may not be assigned, charged, anticipated or given as security, and any transaction purporting to do so is void, and ii) is exempt from execution, seizure or attachment.

  • If the Annuitant is a Non-Member and the Annuitant dies before withdrawing or transferring out the balance of the Prescribed RRIF, We will administer the proceeds of the Prescribed RRIF, in accordance with the terms of the RRIF Agreement.

  • We are entitled to deduct from this Prescribed RRIF a fee for reasonable costs incurred by Us in complying with the attachment, subject to applicable law.

  • Prescribed Limit means 10% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company as at the date of passing of this resolution unless the Company has effected a reduction of the share capital of the Company, at any time during the Relevant Period, in which event the issued ordinary share capital of the Company shall be taken to be the amount of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company as altered;

  • Participating Prescription Drug Provider means an independent retail Pharmacy, chain of retail Pharmacies, mail-order Pharmacy or specialty drug Pharmacy which has entered into an agreement to provide pharmaceutical services to participants in the benefit program. A retail Participating Pharmacy may or may not be a select Participating Pharmacy as that term is used in the Vaccinations Obtained Through Participating Pharmacies section.

  • Covered Servicemember means: 1) a current member of the Armed Forces, including a member of the National Guard or Reserves, who is undergoing medical treatment, recuperation, or therapy, is otherwise in outpatient status, or is otherwise on the temporary disability retired list, for a serious injury or illness; or 2) a veteran who is undergoing medical treatment, recuperation, or therapy, for a serious injury or illness and who was a member of the Armed Forces, including a member of the National Guard or Reserves, at any time during the period of five years preceding the date on which the veteran undergoes that medical treatment, recuperation, or therapy.   • Medical Reimbursement Programs means a collective reference to the Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE programs and any other health care program operated by or financed in whole or in part by any foreign or domestic federal, state or local government and any other non-government funded third party payor programs.

  • Participating Marriage and Family Therapist means a Marriage and Family Therapist who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Prescription means an order for drugs or medical supplies, written or signed or transmitted by word

  • Qualified health plan means a health benefit plan that has in effect a certification that the plan

  • Non-Participating Marriage and Family Therapist means a Marriage and Family Therapist who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Economic Load Response Participant means a Member or Special Member that qualifies under Operating Agreement, Schedule 1, section 1.5A, and the parallel provisions of Tariff, Attachment K-Appendix, section 1.5A, to participate in the PJM Interchange Energy Market and/or Ancillary Services markets through reductions in demand.

  • Son or daughter of a covered servicemember means a covered servicemember's biological, adopted, or foster child, stepchild, legal ward, or a child for whom the covered servicemember stood in loco parentis, and who is of any age.
