Prescribed RRIF definition

Prescribed RRIF. Means a personal retirement income fund as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada) that is also subject to certain rules set out in Manitoba’s Pension Benefits Act and Regulations. Funds in a prescribed RRIF are not locked in. One-time Transfer Means the unlocking of up to 50 percent of the balance of a member’s pension plan or member-owner’s LIF and a one-time transfer of that balance to a prescribed Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF).

Examples of Prescribed RRIF in a sentence

  • No transfer will be permitted into this Prescribed RRIF unless the Annuitant is at least 55 years old.

  • Subject to an agreement or order under The Family Property Act or enforcement proceedings taken by a designated officer, as defined in section 52 of The Family Maintenance Act under Part VI of that Act, the balance of the Prescribed RRIF, i) may not be assigned, charged, anticipated or given as security, and any transaction purporting to do so is void, and ii) is exempt from execution, seizure or attachment.

  • The first day of the financial year will be the First (1st) of January at any given year, with the end of the financial year stated for the thirty-first (31st) of December.

  • Prescribed Registered Retirement Income Fund (Prescribed RRIF) A prescribed Registered Retirement Income Fund (prescribed RRIF) allows an individual to receive taxable income while retaining control of investments and investment earnings on a tax-sheltered basis.

  • If an employee transfers only a portion of their pension funds to a Prescribed RRIF, the lack of a maximum withdrawal limit would allow creation of a reasonable retirement income for a specified period (e.g., use a partial transfer to “top- up” income from part-time work which commences after the transfer of funds).

  • The Prescribed RRIF operates the same as a RRIF (i.e., used for RRSP funds) in that there is a required minimum amount that must be withdrawn each year but there is no maximum limit on how much is withdrawn each year.

  • Prescribed Limit means ten per cent (10%) of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company as at the date of passing of this resolution unless the Company has effected a reduction of the share capital of the Company in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Companies Law, at any time during the Relevant Period, in which event the issued ordinary share capital of the Company shall be taken to be the amount of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company as altered (excluding any treasury share that may be held by the Company from time to time); and

A retail Participating Pharmacy may or may not be a select Participating Pharmacy as that term is used in the Vaccinations Obtained Through Participating Pharmacies section.

  • Covered Servicemember means: 1) a current member of the Armed Forces, including a member of the National Guard or Reserves, who is undergoing medical treatment, recuperation, or therapy, is otherwise in outpatient status, or is otherwise on the temporary disability retired list, for a serious injury or illness; or 2) a veteran who is undergoing medical treatment, recuperation, or therapy, for a serious injury or illness and who was a member of the Armed Forces, including a member of the National Guard or Reserves, at any time during the period of five years preceding the date on which the veteran undergoes that medical treatment, recuperation, or therapy.   • Medical Reimbursement Programs means a collective reference to the Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE programs and any other health care program operated by or financed in whole or in part by any foreign or domestic federal, state or local government.

  • Participating Marriage and Family Therapist means a Marriage and Family Therapist who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Chemical dependency professional means a person certified as a chemical dependency professional by the department of health under chapter 18.205 RCW.

  • Prescription means an order for drugs or medical supplies, written or signed or transmitted by word

  • Qualified health plan means a health benefit plan that has in effect a certification that the plan

  • Non-Participating Marriage and Family Therapist means a Marriage and Family Therapist who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
