Protected means the order of Write followed by Read operations is preserved rather than the pipeline order.
Protected means effectively cov- ered, enclosed, or otherwise guarded by adequate covers.

(c) A CSS Decryption Module which implements the interrogation or identification functions referenced in Section 6.2.11.4 of the CSS Procedural Specifications; and (d) A DVD Player which meets the requirements of Section 6.2.1 of the CSS Procedural Specifications.
