Quality assurance unit definition

Quality assurance unit means any person or organizational element, ex- cept the study director, designated by testing facility management to per- form the duties relating to quality as- surance of nonclinical laboratory stud- ies.
Quality assurance unit in item (ii) shall mean any individual or organizational element, which is independent of study conduct, designed to assure test facility management that studies conducted at the test facility are in compliance with the GLP Ordinance for medical devices.
