Related Subcontract definition

Related Subcontract means an agreement to furnish, or the furnishing of, supplies, materials, equipment, or services of any kind to Contractor or any higher tier subcontractor in the performance of some or all of the work in this Agreement. Related Subcontracts includes consultant agreements, which are defined as agreements for services rendered, or the rendering of services, by persons who are members of a particular profession or possess as special skill and who are not officers or employees of the Contractor. Examples include those services acquired by Contractor or a subcontractor in order to enhance their legal, economic, financial, or technical positions. Professional and consultant services are generally acquired to obtain information, advice, opinions, alternatives, conclusions, recommendations, training, or direct assistance, such as studies, analyses, evaluations, liaison with government officials, or other forms or representation. Related Subcontracts shall not include agreements for ancillary goods or services, or consulting services intended to support Contractor in a general manner not specific to the work performed under this Agreement. “Related Subcontractor” means an individual or entity holding or performing a Related Subcontract.

Related to Related Subcontract

  • Subcontract means any contract as defined in subpart 2.1 entered into by a subcontractor to furnish supplies or services for performance of a prime contract or a subcontract. It includes but is not limited to purchase orders, and changes and modifications to purchase orders.
