Renewable propane definition

Renewable propane means liquefied petroleum gas (LPG or propane) that is produced from non-petroleum renewable resources.
Renewable propane means a renewable fuel that complies with ASTM D1835-16, (2016), Standard Specification for Liquefied Petroleum (LP) Gases, which is incorporated herein by reference liquefied petroleum gas (LGP or propane) that is produced from non-petroleum renewable resources.
Renewable propane means propane that is produced from nonpetroleum renewable resources.

Examples of Renewable propane in a sentence

  • Renewable propane can be produced using a number of production pathways and from a number of low-CI feedstocks.

  • Renewable propane would provide much greater benefits, with emission reductions reaching up to 90 percent.218According to the Western Propane Gas Association, California consumed approximately 491 million GGE of odorized propane in 2008.

  • RIN credits under Renewable Fuel Standard: Renewable propane (referred to as renewable LPG by EPA as discussed earlier) produced as a co-product from the hydrotreating process could be eligible for D5 RIN credits if it meets the criteria (e.g., life cycle GHG reduction threshold of 50% relative to the benchmark) specified in the Renewable Fuel Standard.

  • Renewable propane is a byproduct of renewable diesel and/or alternative jet fuel production, making it a lower carbon alternative to fossil propane and petroleum products.

  • Renewable propane is chemically indistinct from fossil propane and can therefore be used by all existing propane-powered vehicles without the need for modification.

  • Renewable propane pathways; however, will likely have a CI value that meets the compliance standard for each year, and under staff’s proposal it is classified as an opt-in fuel.
