Resident family definition

Resident family means a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, adult child, adult sibling, spouse, legal guardian, or step-parent who--

  • Resident individual means any natural person who is domiciled in this state at any time during the taxable year or who resides in this state during the taxable year for other than a temporary or transitory purpose. In the absence of convincing proof to the contrary, an individual other than a member of the armed forces of the United States, who is present in this state for more than one hundred eighty-three (183) days during the taxable year, is presumed to be a resident, but the absence of an individual from this state for more than one hundred eighty- three (183) days raises no presumption that the individual is not a resident.   • Resident physician means a physician enrolled in an internship, residency or fellowship.
