Ringelmann Smoke Chart definition
Ringelmann Smoke Chart means a chart published and described in the U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Mines, Information Circular 8333, and on which are illustrated graduated shades of grey to black for use in estimating the light obscuring capacity of smoke.
Ringelmann Smoke Chart means the “Ringelmann Scale for Grading the Density of Smoke” published by the United States Bureau of Mines or any chart, recorder, indicator or device for the measurement of smoke density which is approved by the Department as the equivalent of the Ringelmann Scale.
