Modern Slavery Laws definition

Modern Slavery Laws means all applicable modern slavery laws, statutes, regulations and codes from time to time in force which prohibit the exploitation of workers, human trafficking, slavery, servitude, forced labour, debt bondage or deceptive recruiting for labour or services or similar, including but not limited to the Modern Slavery Act and the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (NSW);
Modern Slavery Laws means (i) laws prohibiting work or service that is performed involuntarily and exacted under the menace of violence or other types of penalty (“Forced Labor”) and/or other forms of Modern Slavery (as defined below) such as 18 U.S.C. 1589 of the US and the UK’s Modern Slavery Act 2015, and (ii) laws requiring entities to disclose their risks of Modern Slavery such as the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act and Australia’s Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth). “Modern Slavery” has the meaning given to that term in the applicable Modern Slavery Laws; absent a definition in the applicable Modern Slavery Laws, “Modern Slavery” shall mean exploitative practices involving coercion and/or deception that aim at exacting involuntary work or service from people, such practices including but not limited to Forced Labor, child labor, debt bondage, domestic servitude and human trafficking. Seller confirms that it and its Subcontractors do not use any Forced Labor, it conducts its business, including its supply chain operations, in compliance with the applicable Modern Slavery Laws, and it is not subject to any investigation, enforcement or conviction involving Modern Slavery. Seller shall promptly notify Buyer of any actual or suspected breaches by Seller or its Subcontractors of the applicable Modern Slavery Laws, and agrees to provide Buyer immediately upon request any information and assistance that Buyer may require for compliance with the applicable Modern Slavery Laws.
Modern Slavery Laws means, as applicable, the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (NSW) and the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).

  • Each party must not engage in any activity, practice or conduct that would constitute an offence under Modern Slavery Laws if such activity, practice or conduct were carried out.

  • The Contractor must comply (and ensure its Personnel comply) with the Modern Slavery Laws.

  • The Contractor confirms it conducts its business in a manner consistent with the principles of the Modern Slavery Laws and is not subject to any investigation, enforcement or conviction involving Modern Slavery.

Modern Slavery Laws means: (A) the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), Modern Slavery Act 2018 (NSW) or any other similar legislation that requires entities to report in relation to the Modern Slavery risk of their entity and/or their response to that risk; and (B) any other law, statute or regulation which prohibits, or incorporates, or creates a reporting or due diligence obligation in connection with, Modern Slavery and is applicable or otherwise in force in the jurisdiction(s) in which the Developer is registered or conducts business or in which activities relevant to this document are to be performed.
Modern Slavery Laws means the Modern Slavery ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ (Cth), the Modern Slavery ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ (NSW), Divisions 270 and 271 of the Criminal Code 1995 (Cth), and any other laws or regulations relating to Modern Slavery in force in Australia, and, where relevant, in other jurisdictions including international anti-slavery and human trafficking laws.
Modern Slavery Laws means all Laws regarding the provision of slavery, servitude and forced or child labour and about human trafficking including the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (Canada);
Modern Slavery Laws means the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (VIC), the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and any other legislation of the Commonwealth or a State relating to Modern Slavery or similar matters Party means a party to this Agreement. Personnel in relation to the Company or the Contractor means the officers, employees, contractors, agents, servants, assignee’s invitees, subcontractors and others, including the personnel of Related Bodies Corporate of each, as the context requires.
