Rookie Player definition

Rookie Player means a person eligible to be a WNBA player pursuant to Article XIII Section 1, who has never signed a Player Contract with a WNBA Team.
Rookie Player means a Player who is not a Veteran at the start of a season. A Player will not change from Rookie to Veteran status during the course of a season.

Examples of Rookie Player in a sentence

  • Any Contract of Service between a Club and a Rookie Player must specify that such contract will expire or terminate on 31 October of the relevant year.

  • A Rookie Player shall be paid the payments, medical benefits, superannuation entitlements and other benefits contained in the Collective Bargaining Agreement or as otherwise determined from time to time by the Commission.

  • When a Rookie Player is included on a Club’s Primary List, (other than as a replacement for a Player suffering from a Long Term Injury), the Football Payments to be included from that date in the Club’s Total Player Payments shall include a proportion of the Players base payment, calculated by dividing the base payment by the total number of Home and Away Matches and multiplying that amount by the number of Home and Away Matches remaining in that Football Year.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, a Rookie Player not retained by a Club must have nominated for the last National Draft Selection Meeting in order to be eligible to be selected by a Club at the Pre-Season or Rookie Draft Selection Meeting.

  • A Rookie Player shall not be bound to a Club if he is listed on a Club’s Rookie List but the parties do not enter into a Contract of Service.

  • A Rookie Player may nominate himself for a National Draft Selection Meeting in accordance with these Rules at the expiration of his Contract of Service.

  • Where a Rookie Player nominates himself and is not selected at a National Draft or Pre-Season Draft Selection Meeting, he may once again be included on his previous or another Club’s Rookie List via the Rookie Draft Selection Meeting in that same year, provided he is still eligible to be so included under this Rule10.

  • Should a Rookie Player be listed by an AFL Club located in a State other than that of his State League Club, he may play with a State League Club in that State.

  • Any amount paid to a Rookie Player nominated under this Rule in excess of the base payment payable to a 1st year, third round draft choice selection shall be included in the Club’s Total Player Payments.

  • Half of the Football Payments in respect of a Rookie Player nominated under this Rule shall be excluded from the Club's Total Player Payments.

  • Games means games of chance.

  • Game has the meaning ascribed to that term in the Control Act;

  • Broadband or “Broadband Service” means any service defined as Broadband, or having advanced telecommunications capability, in the most recent Federal Communications Commission inquiry pursuant to Section 706 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 (P.L. 104-104).2

  • Online means transactions through electronic data-interchange whether real time transactions or otherwise, which may be through the internet, intranet networks and the like.

  • Satellite means any satellite owned by the Issuer or any of its Restricted Subsidiaries and any satellite purchased by the Issuer or any of its Restricted Subsidiaries pursuant to the terms of a Satellite Purchase Agreement, whether such satellite is in the process of manufacture, has been delivered for launch or is in orbit (whether or not in operational service).

  • Wireless means a wireless handheld validation unit used with a supporting Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) as part of an approved gaming system. Amended 1/14/15

  • Backsiphonage means the flow of water or other liquids, mixtures or substances into the potable water system from any source other than its intended source, caused by the reduction of pressure in the potable water system.

  • Broadband service means a retail service capable of transmitting data over an access line at a rate greater than 200 kilobits per second.

  • MECOD refers to the Multiple Exchange Carriers Ordering and Design Guidelines for Access Services - Industry Support Interface, a document developed by the Ordering/Provisioning Committee of the OBF, which functions under the auspices of the CLC of ATIS. The MECOD document, published by ATIS as ATIS/OBF- MECAB- Issue 3, February 1993, establishes methods for processing orders for access service which is to be provided to an IXC by two or more telecommunications providers.

  • Cookies means small files which are stored on a user’s computer. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data (including Personal Information) specific to a particular client and website, and can be accessed either by the web server or the client’s computer. If the Client does not wish to allow Cookies to operate in the background when ordering from the website, then the Client shall have the right to enable / disable the Cookies first by selecting the option to enable / disable provided on the website, prior to ordering Goods via the website.

  • Mobile means any mobile delivery technology including 3G, 3.5G, 4G, 5G cellular technology, and any subsequent generation technology, edge, DVBH or DMB which is or may be used with radio frequency spectrum in any band, to enable or facilitate transmission of textual material, data, voice, video and/or multimedia service to any device (whether now known or hereafter developed) which is capable of receiving and/or sending voice and/or data and/or video communications by means of a device which is designed primarily as a portable device.

  • Mobile Network means a 3G or 4G network or any other mobile communications network which we choose to provide Mobile services.
