Runway protection zone definition

Runway protection zone means an area at ground level beyond the runway end to enhance the safety and protection of people and property on the ground.
Runway protection zone means an area off the end of the runway, the use of which is restricted in order to enhance the protection of people and property on the ground.
Runway protection zone. (RPZ) means an area off the runway end used to enhance the protection of people and property on the ground. The RPZ is trapezoidal in shape and centered about the extended runway centerline. The inner width of the RPZ is the same as the width of the primary surface. The outer width of the RPZ is a function of the type of aircraft and specified approach visibility minimum associated with the runway end. For the Scappoose Industrial Airpark, the RPZ extends from each end of the primary surface for a horizontal distance of one thousand feet. If visibility minimums are reduced to three-fourths statute mile, then the RPZ would extend from each end of the primary surface for a horizontal distance of one thousand seven hundred feet.

Runway protection zone means a trapezoidal in shape area and centered about the extended runway centerline at ground level 200 feet beyond the end of the area usable for takeoff and landing to enhance the safety and protection of people and property on the ground, and which is mapped for each Airport pursuant to Section 4.D of this Ordinance.
Runway protection zone means the trapezoidally-shaped area centered about the extended runway center line at either end of the runway and beginning 200 feet beyond the end of the area usable for the takeoff and landing of aircraft where, due to the higher potential for the occurrence of aircraft accidents, land use is necessarily restricted such that reasonable economic use of the land may be prohibited.
Runway protection zone means the Runway Protection Zone coincides with the Airport Approach Zone for a horizontal distance of 1,000 feet from the end of the primary surface (or 1,200 feet from the end of the runway).
