Rural Health Clinics definition

Rural Health Clinics. The Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) program is intended to increase primary care services for Medicaid and Medicare members in rural communities. RHCs can be public, private, or non-profit. RHCs receive enhanced reimbursement rates for providing Medicaid and Medicare services in rural areas. RHCs must be located in rural, underserved areas and must use midlevel practitioners.

Rural Health Clinics means a clinic that is located in a rural area designated as a shortage area, is not a rehabilitation agency or a facility primarily for the care and treatment of mental diseases, and meets all other requirements of 42 CFR 405 and 491.

  • Health carrier or "carrier" means a disability insurer

  • Digital Health refers to the use of digital and virtual tools, products, technologies, data, and services that enable improved patient experience and population health outcomes, care quality, access, integration, coordination, and system sustainability when they are leveraged by patients, providers and integrated care teams;

  • School health services means health services provided by a qualified school nurse or other qualified person that are designed to enable a child with a disability to receive FAPE as described in the child’s IEP.

  • Home health agency means a public or private organization, or a subdivision of such an agency or organization, which meets all of the following requirements:

  • Clinical health service means a single diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitative, preventive or palliative

  • Licensed health care professional means a person who possesses a professional medical license that is valid in Oregon. Examples include, but are not limited to, a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP), licensed practical nurse (LPN), medical doctor (MD), osteopathic physician (DO), respiratory therapist (RT), physical therapist (PT), physician assistant (PA), or occupational therapist (OT).

  • HITECH means the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act.

  • Behavioral health treatment means counseling and treatment programs, including applied behavior analysis, that are:

  • Licensed health care provider means a physician, physician assistant, chiropractor, advanced registered nurse practitioner, nurse, physical therapist, or athletic trainer licensed by a board.

  • Community mental health program means all mental health

  • Home health aide means an individual employed by a home health agency to provide home health services under the direction of a registered nurse or therapist.

  • Designated mental health professional means a mental health

  • PDMA means the Prescription Drug Marketing Act, as amended, and the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder.

  • Local Health Board (“Bwrdd Iechyd Lleol”) means a Local Health Board established under section 11 of the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006 (c.42);

  • Health Department means the department of environmental quality, a city health department, a county health department, or a district health department, whichever has jurisdiction.

  • Mental health treatment center means a treatment facility organized to provide care and treatment

  • Allied Health Professional means a person registered as an allied health professional with the Health Professions Council;
