Sanitary waste means wastes comprising of used diapers, sanitary towels or napkins, tampons, condoms, incontinence sheets and any other similar waste;
Sanitary sewerage means a system of public sewers for carrying off waste water and refuse, but excluding sewage treatment facilities, septic tanks, and leach fields owned or operated by the licensee or registrant.
Sanitary Sewage means wastewaters from residential, commercial and industrial sources introduced by direct connection to the sewerage collection system tributary to the treatment works including non-excessive inflow/infiltration sources.
Sanitary Sewer System means all facilities, including ap- proved LOSS, used in the collection, transmission, storage, treatment, or discharge of any waterborne waste, whether domestic in origin or a combination of domestic, commercial, or industrial wastewater. Sanitary with respect to a building, means it is free from danger or hazard to the health of persons occupying or frequenting it or to that of the public, if such danger arises from the method or materials of its construction or from any equipment installed therein, for the purpose of lighting, heating, ventilating, or plumbing.
Sanitary sewer authority means the department, agency, or public entity
Sanitary Sewer Overflow or “SSO” means an overflow, spill, diversion, or release of wastewater from or caused by Akron’s Sanitary Sewer System. This term shall include: 1) discharges to waters of the State or United States from Akron's Sanitary Sewer System; and 2) any release of wastewater from Akron's Sanitary Sewer System to public or private property that does not reach waters of the State or the United States, including Building/Property Backups.
Sanitary survey means an onsite review of the water source, facilities, equipment, operation and maintenance of a public water system for the purposes of evaluating the adequacy of such source, facilities, equipment, operation and maintenance for producing and distributing safe drinking water.
Potable means water suitable for drinking by the public.
Sewage treatment plant means any arrangement of devices and structures used for treating sewage.

Stormwater means water resulting from precipitation (including rain and snow) that runs off the land’s surface, is transmitted to the subsurface, or is captured by separate storm sewers or other sewage or drainage facilities, or conveyed by snow removal equipment.

Utilities means public sanitary and storm sewers, natural gas, telephone, public water facilities, electrical facilities and all other utility facilities and services necessary for the operation and occupancy of the Property as a hotel.
Landscape waste means any vegetable or plant waste except garbage. The term includes trees, tree trimmings, branches, stumps, brush, weeds, leaves, grass, shrubbery, and yard trimmings.
Mine drainage means any drainage, and any water pumped or siphoned, from an active mining area or a post-mining area. The abbreviation “ml/l” means milliliters per liter.
municipal area means the area of jurisdiction of the municipality demarcated in terms of the Local Government: Municipal Demarcation Act 1998 (Act No 27 of 1998);
Potable water means water that is fit for human consumption.
Surface water means all water which is open to the atmosphere and subject to surface runoff.
